Boston College came from behind and beat Providence tonight 78-75 to become the weakest 17-0 team in recent college basketball history (Division one). The 17 wins 2 shy of the school record. They host Georgetown on Saturday.

BC will not beat Pitt on Febuary 28th at the Fleet Center. On the other hand I think Pitt is the only team beside the Sixers in Pennsylvania that can beat them. Villanova will be real test on Feb 23rd at Philly.

SB. less than 10 days enjoy them.

:lolBIG: I'm a big fan of Willie McGinest!

I know it's hard to believe but I'm not going crazy on this one. I will take my Birds moneyline when I think the time is right (and the points too). :103631605

Wilheim,

Not to beat this subject to death, because I usually hate it when I see others pounding on a sore subject....but.....

Why is it when certain posters who may not post all the time (like myself) make a thread EXACTLY like this, it gets moved to the College Hoops forum.....but when other posters....who are more "visible" make a post like this....it stays in the OFFSHORE FORUM...

I asked this in the other Illinois thread from last night, but did not get a response....

I HAD to ask again when I saw a MODERATOR do the same.......This kind of thing really "irks" me.

Thanks and Regards

ZZZ - as a moderator I move threads that are pick treads. For example If i had posted before the game tonight that Providence would cover the spread against a weak but undefeated and favored BC team it would get moved to the College Basketball forum. The drift of this thread was not a pick, but how imo weak BC is for a 17-0 team. Our policy by that I mean the Rx. is pick threads - "team A will cover against team B" get moved to the apprppriate forum. Discussion threads about teams, players, or leagues for example are another matter and get to stay Offshore in hope of some discussion about the topic. We are trying to keep pick threads in the particular sport forums when possible.

I am basically telling readers that somewhere along the line BC will get beat but it is up to them to figure out when. I was off last night and did not see the Illionos thread. I understand no one likes to see their thread moved to another forum, but in many cases there is more traffic in the sports forums than offshore. The Rubber Room is another matter and not what I am talking about. Without the various sports forums finding picks would be all the harder for posters, one of the main complaints we get (beside why did you move my thread) is there is to much non-essential posting going on and it makes it very hard to find the best cappers picks are. If we had just one general forum it would be even harder to find the best picks.

I hope I have helped a little with this post. Best of luck, wil.
