In the only game following this trend in 2009, BC won 40-22 in Edmonton as a 4 pts dog after losing at home as a double digit fave vs Hamilton. BC is dead last in the West but with a win against the Alouettes they would be much closer to the rest of the West as they would go to 4-5 while at least two western teams (and maybe all three) would be no better than 5-4. Must win game for BC as they play in Montreal next week in the second game of this home-and-home series. Montreal is the only team in the league that can afford not to show up occasionally, and with a home game against this same opponent next week, they could take it easy this week. After blowing out their first 3 opponents scoring over 44 points per game, they slowed down a bit offensively in the next three games only to pick it up last two weeks. But last week against Winnipeg they looked far from impressive as they just could't contain the Riders who were in that game until the end. Montreal never plays well in BC and haven't won a game there in many years. I'm stil waiting for the line and I will definately be on BC if they are getting at least 3 pts, and I think they will.

Also looking at Toronto getting points at Hamilton. Toronto owns their neighboors, covering 22 of last 29 head-to-head. Toronto also won 7 of last 8 in Hamilton. As I said last week, Toronto is a much more competitive team with Cody Pickett at QB and his stats so far are impressive. Hamilton has been favored only 12 times since late 2004 season and they are 1-11 ATS in those 12 games. My play here will be Toronto.

The lines are BC +6 and Toronto +5 but I will wait to see if those lines get any higher.

This season, blindly betting all underdogs ATS has been the most profitable way to bet on CFL. BC+7 and Toronto+5 are probably unpopular bets since they have been weak ATS while Montreal and Hamilton are strong ATS.
