DENVER -- Colorado Rockies rookie sensation Clint Barmes will miss at least three months after breaking his left collarbone in a fall while carrying groceries, the team said Monday.

Strange injuries seem to happen in Denver. Griese and now this.

must've been some ice on the stairs eh clint? how else could a finely trained professional athlete fall carrying groceries...unless he was drunk!

in a weird way it kind of makes sense...he probably didn't let go of the groceries to use his hands to break his fall and landed on his collarbone.

wasn't there a pitcher who cut themselves a few years ago in colorado also?

Bob Ojeda cut his throwing hand trimming hedges when he was making millions playin for the Mets. But, that was a lot longer ago. Seems like a star could afford to hire somebody to do such tasks involving power tools! Rockie guy was rookie though. Too bad. Talk about going from penthouse to outhouse in a moment!
