I figured he was heading that route since alot of his posts are not what certain people here like reading.

It's unfortunate since he is able to put together readable posts and threads.

He also posted plays with some useful insight included.

Man you must be on the cutting edge of the loop.

Who knew? He posted here less than an hour ago.

DD, C-Gold made a post wishing violent death on a NYTimes reporter in Iraq and then elaborated further to say he wished several NYT writers would have their throats slit.

Per the Main Index page as shown under the "RubberRoom" (though applicable site-wide), such posts call for an Automatic ban

Precedent has been for such bans to be permanent, but I made it 90Days as I know that when he keeps himself out of Politics and Social chat, C-Gold does make some legitimate contributions to the NFL forum.

Punter, DD will often depart the Rx for weeks or months at a time, but when he comes in, He's in full game-face mode.

Barman, thanks for the explanation.

C-Gold, let us know if you need commissary $ while you are serving your sentence in the RX jail.

You bashed BO and the left too much.

If you don't return, let us know where you find a new posting hangout.

Actually, DD - he won't be able to see your friendly offer of sneaking him in a metal file stuffed up your.....errrrrr....inside a birthday cake.

----
meanwhile...If bashing BO was sufficient grounds for Banning at Rx, we'd likely be down to about a dozen posters in the Soccer forum.

Barman, I agree, if rx only had the most loyal bo supporters posting here at rx, it would be most, if not the entire mod staff, punter, gtc, along with maybe another half dozen daily contributing political forum guys.

So c-gold posting that type of thing to a NYT reporter that isn't part of the forum got his ip banned 90 days from even viewing the forum?

im not really a card carrying member of the democratic party and barack obama club.

yea i voted for him, but i also voted for barkley in the senate race who is independent instead of franken. ive also stated several times about being interested in ron paul, and have talked at ad nauseum about my disagreement with obama regarding the stimulus.

people like to put people in boxes for easier classification.

they put me in a box and say im a bleeding heart because i want universal health cae.

then on pforum they put me in a box and say im a neo-con because i want a 50 foot wall constructed around the US and focus on just the US, not the other countries.

i pick and choose what i like.

nimue, your doing the 1 guy or the other act when i stated i pick and choose what i like.

i like obama because he wants universal health care and i want universal health care.

i like paul because he just wants to stay home and not go global like obama.

id really love to model the US after switzerland, which is a combo of Obama and Paul philoshopies.

Obama in the terms of free health care, Paul in terms of the country being cut off from the rest of the world. switzerland has a 12 year wait to get in there if they even accept you. they focus on there own shit, etc.

paul aint going to give us universal health care, and obama isnt just going to focus here like i want him to.

so i mesh the qualities i like together. like i said, i pick and choose.

gtc, you seem to have drifted closer to center from prior posting when I was around more often. I don't like being labeled as right or left either. I am clearly politically on right side of beliefs, but there are some policies I don't support the right. Intelligent people, when made aware of new facts, change their thoughts.

Since the RX has lost yet another excellent poster with C-Gold being banned, it's time to shift gears in this thread.

With a Paul administration, Americans wouldn't need govt provided healthcare, for the costs would be much lower than currently.

BO and politicians like him, have allowed people into this country, who are taking advantage of free and unlimited healthcare, while millions of ordinary working Americans remain without coverage.

I would say overall Paul policies are more similar to Switzerland than Obama.

Stay the hell out of foreign wars, maintain a strong currency (there is that pesky gold stuff again), many policies being directed locally instead of nationally, emphasis placed upon personal freedoms and liberties.

Even some of the other top left supporters here like Barman and Punter, when simply examining Pauls' ideas, fall more in line with Pauls' ideas than their beloved Democrats, and especially the Dems holding the power broker positions in DC.

With Paul, Barman and his friends could legally grow and smoke all the pot they wanted, for the govt wouldn't be involved.

Not sure what would change for Punter. Since the majority of his posts are less than two sentences, I don't really know what areas are most important to his political beliefs.

Since this is a gambling website, we all should know that RP would never support something as ridiculous as online gambling restrictions.

Among several cogent points in your post, this one descriptor is preposterous.

Before ban-happy Barman gets too dialed into my scent, I thought I would post something he would enjoy reading.

I need to ensure I don't find a spot on the Barman most wanted posters list as C-Gold and many others here have.

Stick the below few sentences in your pipe and smoke it a while.

Like the income tax, most people never stop to think
about just how arbitrary and illegitimate today’s
prohibition is despite the fact that it is relatively new
in the grand scheme of things. In the middle third of
the 20th century, drugs such as cocaine, marijuana
and heroin were not only legal but also available
without a prescription. Sure, some people consumed
to excess just as people do with most things that
provide immediate gratification and enjoyment. Fat,
sugar, credit cards, booze, tobacco, casual sex all
make people feel good but come with the inherent
complications and issues if they partake in
unmanageable quantities.

-------------------

Back to the topic regarding free and unlimited healthcare to illegals. Combine them with the bottom-feeding welfare class and excessive malpractice litigation, and we have isolated much of the healthcare cost crisis.

When I read about emergency rooms and sometimes entire hospitals in various states closing because too many illegals have decided to drop by and have their "anchor babies" delivered or whatever care they require on Uncle Sams' dime, then yes, they are receiving free and unlimited healthcare.

Substitute unlimited with too much or excessive and these are problems that never should have been allowed to occur.

The medical care available to illegal residents is of course not "unlimited".

I suppose there may be a literal handful of Americans who have the finances to enjoy "unlimited" access to needed medical and health care, but neither illegal residents (nor you and I) happen to be in that tiny group.

And in friendly response to: In the middle third of the 20th century, drugs such as cocaine, marijuana and heroin were not only legal but also available without a prescription.

Bar: A somewhat exxagerated summation, as the Harrison Narcotics Act of 1914 essentially outlawed heroin and cocaine except for limited use by prescription (heroin) and for surgery (cocaine).

Marijuana was not made illegal at the federal level until 1970 when Nixon persuaded the US Congress to pass the Controlled Substances Act.

woofdaddy, i agree with more of obama then paul, and i didnt want to throw away my vote on paul because i knew he had no chance vs. obama or mccain.

if obama pisses me off over the next 4 years and paul still is insignificant, i probably just wont vote.

if obama is steady like he is now, I had him at a B overall a month ago, I will vote again for him.

if he is sucking it up, and paul becomes bigger and bigger, ill vote for paul.

right now though as of this moment, July 7 2009 at 4:02 PM central standard time, i can confidently say that I would vote for Obama in the next election if voting was today, based on what i've seen so far.

i keep telling people here im not as liberal as you all think.

i aint dumb enough to vote for that idiot franken.

libertarians i can run with, dems I can agree with on some things, repubs not much except dropping the business tax and luring businesses back here. there social policies are what leaves me with no interest in them, or little interest.
