Continuing in the manner of my ongoing sports threads since Jan 2008, I will be posting in NBA and measuring progress via the use of a Mythical Bank.

One of my favorite spots here as Spurs are coming off a SU Home Loss; playing a road game vs a team from bottom half of the league and also coming off two consecutive Over results

So far this season, they're 4-1, but three of those Overs were in first month when Manu was not in lineup to give them their normal strength defense.

Given that just last week they got popped for 103 by this same Memphis team, they have added incentive to crack down in this one.

Spurs this season playing Away vs teams in bottom half of league have seen five of six finish Under 187 and again, the one exception was in first week (at Min) with the fractured roster. And even that game was at just 145 after three quarters, followed by a huge 4th quarter and 44 pt overtime period.

Finally, with respect to a modest "chase" angle, Spurs in their past 15 outings which followed two consecutive Over finishes have seen 11 go Under.


I'll likely also be on San Antonio 1H and 1H Under, but will post those only after I get them booked.

Continuing with the After a SU Home Loss angle here as Spurs are a nice 10-3 in past 13 chances in this role

Though they are just 1-6 ATS for the entire game in the past season+ when playing Away After a SU Home Loss. So if Spurs do get the 1H ATS win here, we might take yet one more nibble at this game come halftime and look at MEM 2H ATS depending on their first half performance

Looks to us like the first two months of Cleveland domination against the Dreaded Number may be starting to pinch down a bit and 12.5 just too many here, especially with Ilgauskis out in the middle.

This season to date, Cavs have played four games without Z and they're 2-2 when graded at -12.5. They've also seen all four games go well Under 196.5

Last season, Z missed eight games and in only one did the Cavs beat -12.5

Cleveland H2H vs Bulls has seen a 5-5 record in past 10 meetings, with Bulls staying within 12.5 eight times.

Cavs past 22 Home games vs division foes have seen only five win by more than 12.5

Meanwhile on the Total, we have a similar angle in play as we're using in the San Antonio game tonight. Cavs are coming off a SU Loss and in their past 37 SU losses they've seen the next game top 196.5 just seven times.

Additionally, they allowed 104 pts in last game. In past 26 games at Home After Allowing 100+ pts, Cavs have seen only six finish above 196.5

Bulls coming off a thumping versus Orlando where they allowed 114. But to their credit, so far this season After Allowing 110+ they've come back to win seven of nine, and also have a 7-2 record when graded at +12.5

In similar vein, After Scoring 94 or less pts, they're 7-1 both SU and vs +12.5

Don't laugh, but often later in the night when I'm wanting to relax, I get over pretty solid on old torch singers...I especially like Linda Ronstadt's collection of songs she did with Nelson Riddle Orchestra back in early 90s

She kinda fell off the sex appeal map when she went the way of Kirstie Alley...but older women singers can do that and still be fine.

Hey, if it helps you to relax, it's all good. Again, not a fan of LR, but if she helps with the 2TP, I will listen to it at least once.
