Bama big— analysis

People about how this LSU team has this offense. Facts are this is an offense than saban has seen 1000 times. To beat Alabama you need a mobile QB which burrows isn’t or the QB has to have the game of his life.

I look for bamas pass rush to cause all sorts of trouble. The Alabama wide outs are better and more capable of making big plays than LsU. The area that teams have had success against Alabama this year is running the ball. LSU doesn’t do that well this yesr.

look for bama to establish the run and control the ball. Once LSU has to creep up to stop it, the tua show will begin. LSU gave up 3
plus to vandy. Florida scores. Texas scored. Alabama will score and score a lot

Facts:

saban 78-4 at home
31 straight home wins
no one on the Bama roster has ever lost at home

saban loves the under dog card and will play it. Only thing that has me semi worries is tua not being healthy the entire game. If he goes out, Bama will lose. But think he haS him heisman moment today.

alabama wins 49-31. Tua throws for 400 and 5 scores

Lawrence had a run game. Also Clemson won a ton of jump balls.

LSU doesn’t have that run game or those wide outs.

Also Alabama couldn’t get pressure with 4 vs Clemson. Jennings and Lewis will be in the backfield all day.

it will take a special special game for by burrows for LSU to keep this close. If burrows is even good today and not great Lsu will lose big.

Again burrows will have to be great. Not saying burrows won’t be good, but he’ll have to be great.

alabama will score, LSU has to score with them.

And again traditonally this is not the type qb or system that beats Alabama.

LSU's offense depends on big plays. So does Clemson. Saben had 4 weeks to prepare for Clemson, and he had a healthy Tua. We all saw how that turned out. Saben does not want to get into a shooting match. Can LSU force his hand like Clemson did? Saben plays this game conservatively until he is pushed into a corner. If LSu gets +31, Bama is in trouble

tua was not as healthy then as he is now

Why people think this LSU team is even in the realm of that Clemson team is beyond me.

Just an FYI for everyone who thinks LSU and Clemson are the same:

game was on a neutral field, this one is in tuscaloosa

lsu doesn’t have a Travis entenne in the backfirld

Clemson oline was tons better than this DLine

clemson had possibly the best d line in college football history

lawerence played lights out.


Again ill say burrows will will have to play the game of his life for this to be a contest. If he’s good but not great. Alabama wins going away

Good stuff, much appreciated, I like it when a poster has the balls to present his rationale!
Others make a pick with no write up, do not have to take the heat of others with different views (or irrelevant trends), and if they lose do not have to face the heat afterwards, either.
(By the way, IMO, LSU is vastly overrated... if Tua is healthy enough to be mobile in the pocket, Bama will romp; we shall see!)

Agree with most your thoughts Doc. However, I just think Saban gonna pound running game vs air it out. Why chance Tua or Mr Glass if he doesn’t have to. Yes the run opens up passing and Glass will get his shots. But shortening game would be wiser way to end game of just winning. Cover yes. Shoot out, IMO no. I’ve coached, it’s what I’d do but then again I’m not Saban. Smarter yes, coaching BAMA, No. lol

Not rocket science, but LSU clearly better team. Play 10x, LSU wins 10x. Bama D stinks. ST stinks-kicking game. Offense honestly stinks too. Several gimmicky Type play calls. Saban has lost control of all phases. He needs to retire. Bama certainly doesn’t rule the roost in SEC anymore.
