Boise got a top 35 QB and RB. I'm pretty happy about that.

Gag....paper champs. That's been working out real well for Notre Dame hasn't it.

Rivals = Kool Aid Salesman and nobody drinks it like delusional Bammers. Don't get me wrong I'd rather have the #1 class than the #20 class, but recruiting championships hold less value than preseason #1 rankings. You don't see anybody screaming "WooHoo we were preseason #1 this year", now do you. nope.

Now remind me what the Tide actually won last year. A SEC championship, no, a bowl game, no, oh yea the SEC west in a awful year and beat a 5-7 AU team for the first time in 7 years. Awesome. They beat a top 20 UGA team and how many other ranked teams???????

Put together 2 winning seasons in a row before you proclaim you're back.

Bama will be good and I think they will compete for the west next year. However, until McElroy (QB) proves he can play, don't count on anything. As an Auburn fan I witnessed firsthand what a shitty QB can do for your season.

Sorry dude, but after hearing Bama/Saban love fest all day I had to let off a little steam. Glad to see the Tide doing well, hate to hear thier arrogant fans act like it's 1978 again.

was a good recruiting day for sure, no matter what service you follow (top 3 in ESPN, Rivals, Scout), so put it down all you want, Bama-haters, but the kids buy in to Saban and staff. And yes, DIG, winning 10 games playing that many freshman really was an accomplishment...if you think it's an unsuccessful year because we got beat in the SEC title game by the national champs, well, opinions are like ________

I'm sorry, did you say the kids "buy into Saban and staff"?

That is some straight up funny fucking shit right there. Even a moderately intelligent Bama fan has to admit that Saban's prevailing character flaw is his honesty. The guy is an egomaniacal liar.....and that is a FACT.

lol, lsupete's FACTS are some of the funniest information produced on this otherwise great forum

well, at least we both agreed that Bama in a preseason top 5 in 2009 is a joke. but i knew us in agreement was an anomaly

wish you still had DiNardo because this "egomaniacal liar" changed your previous joke hick program forever...unfortunately.

LOL.....you're going to be crying like a pussy when that guy scorns your program and leaves. He'll lie about it to your face and take a better deal as soon as he can. And, if you don't believe that, you are just too dumb to see what's right in front of your face.

Support your team and the program, but please don't defend Saban. The guys is a proven liar.

oh, and you should really stop the mindless criticism of LSU....it makes you look petty.

LSUpete,
If He stays 6 years and wins a national championship and a few Sec titles, says he no interest in leaving Alabama yet goes to a NFL team then so be it.Very few Alabama fans will hate him if he he brings that kind of results.
Why you Lsu people are so bitter is sad.Where was the program before he got there?
I have no faith in your current coach but I do expect a good year from LSU this year and you sure are stocking well for the future.

I don't really mean to diss the season that Alabama had, 12-2 is great no matter how you spin it. However, I just don't think Alabama should be considered to be on the same level as LSU, USC, Ohio St, Texas, Oklahoma, or Florida YET. They are well on thier way, it's just they have had one good season in which they only won the SEC west. The other teams have won numerous conference championships and BCS bowls and national championships. It will be very difficult for Alabama to be as close to playing for the national championship as they were this year, even with better talent, due simply to the fact it is the SEC.

However, they didn't play that many freshman. Jones & Hightower are the real deal, Ingram was a big contributor and who else this year? Bama was good this year because of thier veteran line play, Senior QB, Jones stepping in, Cody clogging up the middle for Mclain to clean it up, good players in the secondary and especially Rashad Johnson.

You seriously think he'll stay in Tuscaloosa for 6 years? LSU fans dislike Saban because the asshole lied about his intentions when he was directly questioned....He anounced his intentions to leave LSU on Christmas morning....he took a job at an SEC rival....he was caught on tape saying some nasty things about his former fans...and he cares nothing about loyal fans that support him, only himself.

LSU had plenty of history, success and championships before Nick Saban. To suggest otherwise is shortsighted and ignorant.

I have plenty of faith in Miles...much more than Nick Saban.

Pete,
I am a lover of SEC football.I know LSU had history, success, and championships before Saban. What I am saying is that you had a very significant dry spell before he got there and he turned into a top 5 program year in and out.
Much like we have had a 10 year stretch of nothing significant(although Fran,Shula, and Dubose each coached a 10 win season)If he duplicated at Bama what he did at LSU and left after that so be it.
Its not as if he left LSU to go to Alabama.

Both LSU and Alabama had some sick recruiting classes. Ala got the #1 rb and cb, and LSU cleaned up on all aspects, especially DT. I was very pleased with our class, despite the low # of signees due to returning players. Our O-line haul was great and we got a guy to help fill the void of Percy in Andre Debose.... BTW, Conan, you guys, amongst another great class, got two stud lb's that UF was high on in Jarvis Jones and Telfort. Both will be studs.
