Yes. What are you worried about?

A banking dispute I havent settled. Someone stole my CC and ran up a tab and they told me I had to pay it. So i told them to fuck off.

Also, I GOT HIT by a bus in my car on the highway and it was nothin major, maybe 50 bucks damage to the bus..

Other than that, nothing...

yep they do have scanners and yes , of course they scan them and they do pay attention to what shows up on the screen too, they were about to raise a fit with my wife as they saw bunches of in/outs until they realized that she was a resident

thing is, Tico passports use the same 'passport number' forever (Which is the same as our cedula number which is also the same as our drivers license number)

Any other passport I have ever seen (not Tico that is) uses a different number each time you get a new one

I presume that for them to be absolutely sure that you are 'you' the numbers would have to match on their system, in other words

if you have a different passport (or can get a new one) than the one you had registered here........you are probably good
to go

btw I dont know exactly what you mean by 'scan' , it could be that you have a passport with a RFID chip, I would imagine that they don't have the machine for THAT but virtually all passports are machine-readable (the codes that show up on the information page) if you meant THAT type of scan, they do almost everywhere in the World

Yes they swipe it, since it's machine readable and will fill in the information required to do a search. I believe Wolfie has a point, if you changed your passport it would be pretty damn hard for them to identify you as the same person.

Wolfie... awesome point.. i never really thought about that.

YES since I left CR, I got a new passport because the last one expired. Actually, this new one is from 2008... I am sure i am probably all good to go to CR huh? And yep, it sure is a new passport number :)

Whens the cheapest flights?

BTW if you owe a bank $ can they like stop u or something or is that something u can even get in trouble for?? I mean hell I even got out of the country fine..

You'll be fine. That is a private dispute between the company and you, it's not like they have a country wide manhunt out for you...
