· Bums walk up to you here and try to hit you up for cash....and they are dressed better than you. They should be ashamed.<o></o>
· FAT PEOPLE!!! OMG there are SOO many fat people.<o></o>
· People are assholes.<o></o>
· Gas prices<o></o>
· 30% out of every paycheck....and I am yet to find out what type of hits you take on casino winnings. <o></o>
· Fees everywhere you look.<o></o>
· Mechanics....assholes<o></o>
· $8 beers and you have to tip or you don’t get served<o></o>
· $30 cover charge at the club.....$12 drinks...for well shit<o></o>
As much as I complained about CR...and I still will (all jokes btw) it isn’t the worst place in the world. I mean....there is always Brafia.<o></o>

Gas is $4.02 here, and is $3.00-$3.50 most places in the States.

And the mechanics actually fix your car there.

I will bite and say that I am not sure if phonebook is being sarcastic and telling us that is how it is HERE instead of in the US.......except for the 8 dollar beer part which I am sure is not related to CR

Where were you? I lived in Los Angeles most of my life. Been here 10 years and go back on occasion. Last time was a year and a half ago. Can't think in that time it has changed so much.

Last visit a beer was $4 and a mixed drink $5 in a typical local bar, not some hotel bar. Gas is more here in CR. Mechanics are way cheaper here but hard to find a good one and good parts. I don't hit the hot clubs so maybe that is it.

To me the big differences are rent and car insurance. Otherwise not much difference. Yes taxes are witheld but roads are fixed there and police and courts actually put criminals away. Pluses and minuses to both.

My advise is to make your money there and later spend it here!

And dont get me wrong....its fun, its nice, its great to be back.

Summing it up.....A lot of what I remembered about the states (I come from small town) is NOT what is happening now. You should hear people get into conversations about Bush here. Its like a real life rubber room. It blows my mind that people still try and stick up for him...but they do. Its almost like people just walk around with a lower level of respect for things....president, government, law, family values. But I guess thats what you get when you are slapped in the face by the people you chose to represent you.

A bunch of super pissed off people here. Accept everyone on the strip...that place gets a ton of happy ass people...I LOVE IT!!

It was a grill fest. People have lost the ability to chill.

I can imagine the fear they must have when they go out. Crazy mofo's out there killing for no fvcking reason just b/c they want to show people how they feel about other people. Bombs, crazy shit going on over there, wars for the past 5-6 years, how many people have died in the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">US</st1lace></st1:country-region> in the last 5-6 years? I don't even wanna know. Where is the safest place to be over there now? School was safe 10 years ago but not anymore, is safer just to stay home. I feel bad for the North American's families that have lost their love ones and for the death of so many innocent people. It take's one just to make a difference. Peace and love brotha's and sisters, one!!!
