5 unit play on saretta in progress...lets hope a nice late break here in the first set and a straight set victory against this doubles specialist.

Saretta retires after winning the first two sets handily, then wins one game over the next twelve and calls it quits. Not sure what the story is, but that is pretty ridiculous. First day i select two matches that have players retire, interesting:WTF:

gotta move on. will post todays plays in a little while.

Do all books grade a tennis wager a push after a player retires?

This is great. At carib sports once a match starts it doesnt matter if a player retires even if he is winning. So I take it in the rear with my saretta play. This is really aggrevating.

I should have played it on bet365 where it says matches are no blood if a player retires. Hopefully this will even out in the long run. That match wasnt a contest simple as that.

No, this is something you have to know before betting and be very careful about. Some books require the first ball to be served while others require the first set to be completed for action. Others, like Pinnacle, require the match to be completed for action.

I got a push on Saretta at Pinnacle. I don't know the reason for the total collapse after two sets, but given the propensity of favorites to retire when they cannot win it is prudent to wager them where there is no action if a player retires.

Woody,

Thanks. I was trying to figure out whether it is a good thing to play at a book tht requires the match to be completed or not. You answered my question.

thanks for the insight woody....good call. I think it is a tough decision whether to play at a site where its action once a ball is hit regardless of injury etc... the safe play is to have the match completed. Agreed.
