Auburn -10.5

Tuberville is 5-0 in SEC road openers. Miss State broke the SEC home opener streak last year so there will be no looking to next week for the Tigers. Miss State lost first game to a cupcake with 5 turnovers and won their 2nd game with 216 rushing yards. I expect Miss State to get less than 100 rushing yards and force the ball downfield into an improved Auburn secondary. I know the competition has not been top notch yet for the Tigers Defense but a 9% opponent 3rd down conversions is still impressive. While Auburn let USM stay in the game for far too long from 4 turnovers I think Auburn will only get better while operating the new spread offense and an increase practice week stressing taking care of the ball. I expect Auburn will win the turnover ratio and dominate the game from the start. Add in a Dunn big return and i think the Tigers easily win by two touchdowns.

CFB YTD 11-5

Other plays - Vandy -7, CA +15, GT +7, Arizona -10, & [soon] USF -3 (holding out hopefully for the 1/2 pt drop or will buy the point

Auburn's D might be the best in the country. I'd be shocked if Mississippi State got 2 offensive TDs on the Tigers. GL

Auburns D is stuck with youngsters all over the field. They had terriable match-up problem last week and only won because Southern Mississippi failed to capatilize on plenty of oppurtunities. I really think this is a horrible play, especially with Todd making his first road start in the SEC. Burns has proven totally unreliable. Good luck though.

I think the bigger question is can Auburn take a new offensive system on the road with a new QB, and score enough points to cover this spread against a good defense. They haven't exactly been worldbeaters on offense. And they haven't played a BCS conferece team yet. As a rule any SEC team getting double digits at home is money. Especially a bowl caliber SEC team.

Todd is not the man at QB, Franklin is just playing favorites.

The DL and LB's are some of the best in the league, but the secondary is weak and this team will have problems with a passing team.

As an Auburn fan, I am not completely sold on this team yet.

I am an Auburn fan too, and will be at the game next week. You are fooling yourself if you dont think it will be Todd at QB. Burns had his shot and has proven he CANNOT throw the ball at all. How is this spread offense going to do in the rain? I tihnk this play is terriable.

you read me wrong, Todd might be the best we have at QB, but he is nothing special(besides that underhand throw while being tackled last week). Not only will he have to deal with rain, but decent wind as well. If I had to bet I would take state, but i dont want to jinx the team.

Well, looks like i should have made my post and waited for a response to place the bet but i already did so...I still think Auburn can more or less shut down Miss St on any field. Not worried about the rain. I looked back (quick look) at SEC double digit homedogs from last year (too lazy to look further) and only found one LSU @ Miss +20 & Miss covered. Hoping the rare double digit homedogs are a sign of how dominate Tigers will be. Here's to gambling:smoking: ...Auburn 21-10!?!

I got Auburn as a top play as well. They got a dominating defense and they out for revenge from last year so they should be focused. La Tech scored 22 points on them on St. so in theory, Auburn should score more.
I like your other plays (except S Fl.) as well. anyway gl

Didn't place the USF bet. Checked my book at 7:45 and the line was at USF-4 so i didn't play...which may have been best seeing 20-10 at half Kansas.

one thing to keep in mind also is Auburn has a big big game with LSU next weekend, it's always hard to tell when a team will have a lookahead, but there is certainly a chance here.
