I am just curious about something(and I may be wrong) on the 28th(Complete Game) you went 1-6 for what you say is -1.5%. My question to you is just say you started with $1000 given your numbers that day you did not lose 1.5% of your bankroll but in fact(with the vig) you lost 1.7%,do you agree with that figure ? if not please explain Like I said I may be wrong)

These numbers are based on a bankroll of $1000, however I don't think the starting bankroll wold make a difference in any case.

MIA ML +23 for .1%__________-1
over 176 for .5%____________-5.50
SA under 182 for .6%________+6
SA -6 for .3%_______________-3.3
DAL over 205 for .4%________-4.4
DAL +3 for .3%______________-3.3

total loss=-23
total win= +6

Net= -17

1000-17=983, this means you lost 1.7% of your bankroll. Do you agree with this?

Again not trying to be a wise ass ,I just don't see how you arrive at your numbers.

I think ATX risks the percentage posted regardless of vig. So on a -110 0.5% play he'd risk 0.5% of bankroll to win slightly less, whereas on a +150 0.5% play he'd risk 0.5% to win 0.75%, etc.

I see your point there also ,but then when he wins a 6% wager HE IS NOT WINNING 6% of his bankroll either,it works both ways if you do it that way he would acually lose 1.55% for that specific night I think.

maybe I should just post the numbers that I get, lol. I posted almost 25% return in the baseball forum, and I'm getting heat for .1%, lmao. Hell, I calculate +100 wagers as -110 a lot of the time.

There was a Devil Rays under that lost that I passed over in June (honestly) but I'm pretty sure that when I found the discrepancy I adjusted for it the next week. Just to make sure I would appreciate it if you validated this to put me at ease.

I totally understand your point, but this seems almost funny. While your at it, can you add up my NBA playoff thread for me? I didnt post everything I wagered so I havent had time to add up the exact % return on the wagers that I posted here.

Not trying to be a wise ass ,but what is the point of posting any numbers (if your not going to post the ones you really get,and what is the point of keeping a running total of % won if you are not going to to base it the same way each time.
My feeling is if the numbers are not going to be accurate ,and you still want to help people out then why not just post your pick without any specified %.
Its really not a big thing ,its just something I noticed.

As far as your NBA playoff record I have no idea what it is,however if you want me to monitor your NBA this season I will be happy to betting 1 unit means laying 110 in most cases(not All).
so .5% simple means you would lose .55% on a losing bet assuming the odds were -110 and would win .5%.if you want to risk a siad% each time regardless of the vig then we can do that also,but I can only do it one of the two ways! If you are interested let me know.

NBA playoff thread isnt too many pages back in this forum, I never had time to add it all up and I didnt post everything as I didnt start posting from day one.

not sure what your rules are for monitoring, I never really looked at it much.

I dont really understand the point in the competition, I'm just trying to make money, maybe you could explain?

Another thing is that I dont flat bet, sometimes I tread water with small wagers and bang something for quite a bit. Not often, but I change strategy a little every year. Not sure about how this is reflected in your format, I take it one column reflects flat betting and the other by actual?

I guess one of the main things is that I never really check the standings, and I dont think I would have time to in the future.

Another thing is that I sometimes disappear for a while, I cant post everyday, and not sure when.

I'm also not sure if I am going to be posting here or for how long, I'm trying some other things out to see what's best. I simply want to post plays in order to meet more of the right people, and I dont care about attention I think the less attention I get the better. It's more the tone of this place, too many people arent serious about money and hang around just to take shots IMO. I'm just tired of explaining that no one including me, can win every day or week, and no matter how well I do in a month it seems the degenerates (not you) will always find something to lie about. I've said it before and I'll say it again, almost every year I lose 20% of BR at some point during a really bad streak, and this bad NBA run early on is nothing.

As far as being "monitored" that is why I post everything by week, it is easy to see what each week comes out to, except for those that cant add. I do calculate everything the same-- I risk, not "to win." If you really think I am intentionally cutting corners then go to the hockey forum and tally everything there, go to the baseball forum tally everything there.

I think the main reason I'm not pursuing the TRK contest is because there are so many other people that want to be a part of it more than I do. It's nothing against you, but I think people that really want to win it should be allowed in over people a little less competitive versus other posters. I just want more money and dont want to be distracted. Do you track 2nd half wagers?

I fully understand where you are coming from and I respect your words.I do know that you are very good at what you do,and I have made some money off your plays as well! The point of the tracking is to let people know who is hot and who is not without having to look through everyones threads,also when I first started the tracking it was done because many "top" cappers were constantly padding their records everynight,I can assure you this is not the reason I ask you about your methods tonight!

I really just dont want the attention, and often dont post very early.

I dont mind people pointing out mistakes that I make, I just wasnt sure where this was headed, I was pressed for time as I have to look at dozens of sets of numbers each day and adding up everything in basketball and hockey from the two days before was done as quickly as possible and I must have copied my numbers instead of the -110 forum numbers on those 6 wagers. I misposted LA ML as .1% instead of 1.0% but I think I added up what I posted correctly but it may be off by .1% as well. I usually double check but didnt have time in this case.

a lot of the time I am neither hot nor cold, but grind it out with probability differentials.

I plan on wagering about 1% on most NBA maybe some .5% and 1.5% just need some numbers this year to go on.

right now:

NBA: suck ass

NBA 2h: gaining momentum

NHL: super nova hot

too bad I havent been wagering an amount on NHL

I tend to think that things are more likely to change than stay the same, in other words my NHL should nose dive soon, and I hope to turn around the NBA soon, very glad I have gone small so far there
