I have a Dell computer now, but the monitor that I am using is an old Gateway monitor. I am looking to buy a new monitor, a 17 inch flat panel monitor. Any suggestions as to which one is the best for computer use only. I do not need it for video games, TV, or anything else. Any input appreciated. Thanks

Go for the Samsung 19". It is not that much more $. The 21" is great too, but that is more pricey.

Is that a 20 inch monitor? I only need a 17 inch. Thanks

You may think you want a 17", but go for the Dell 20" 2001FP
