Capper Giorg0s has decided to take a free $100 account at Skybook for losing 7 straight best bets. All losing streaks re-start at zero for tonight's games (Saturday). Winning streaks continue as usual. Congrats to Giorg0s.

Hate to be the "jerk who complains about a free contest", but I don't understand why you'd cash the streak @ 7 games.

The prize for 7 games is $100, and the prize for 8 games is $250. Basically, once you hit 7 games, you get to pick a game with +150 odds. Stopping a streak @ 7 games is the WORST time to stop a streak.

Also, with only 5 days left in the NBA season, all losing streaks have been reset to zero. More or less, the Skybook contest is now over for anybody (including Giorg0s) with a losing streak.

But Giorg0s did pick 15 straight losers (

), so that deserves recognition. His capping skills are impressive, but I'm not too crazy about his streak-management skills.

So what are you suggesting I should do?

i think what he is saying is with the difference being 150.00, you could play one side in the contest, and play the otherside on your own...if you win your bet, you have your 100.00 anyway, if you lose, your streak is now 250.00....its a no lose situation for you...

That's part of it. Also, now that Giorg0s' streak is back to zero, the best he could do is win/lose 5 in a row for $25 (only 5 days left in the NBA season).

But that's assuming:

1) He'll win/lose 5 in a row starting today.
2) Everybody with a current winning/losing streak picks a wrong game (allowing Giorg0s to take the lead).

Given that the Skybook contest is basically over (unless you've got a current streak), why not try to extend a 7-game streak? At this point, I think you've gotta have a "do or die" attitude with any winning/losing streak.

Anyway, great contest by Skybook. I think it was a win-win situation for all involved. Skybook got some attention/promotion, the NBA forum got some traffic, the players got some prize money.

wil what about a nba playoff contest with the winner being the one who picks the most playoff games against the spread.for this contest though i would make all players play to the end instead of quitting after a certain amount of wins to prevent the whining that occurred in the nba contest when someone quit short of 10 wins in a row.
