Lets hope the Astrodome is more accomodating and that these poor stranded folks can get medical treatment, some good food and some hope to rebuild their lives after this.

Amazing to me that even during this tragedy the board is still mired in Left/Right or Red/Blue type BS.

KTV: You are right, we should be doing more to help! But you have to remember, besides contributions to the Red Cross, what else can we do? Most of the posters here, myself included are not directly affected by this and life still goes on outside the affected areas!

What else can we do? Well, for starters we can be thankful that it's not us. And even if just for a day or two, we can drop the partisan crap during the tragedy.

Life indeed goes on for us - but if that means just resuming the usual red/blue or left/right blame game in the hours and days after this disaster, than thats just sad.

The number of homeless has to be measured in the hundreds of thousands.

Haven't yet heard of any tent cities being out up by either the Red Cross or the Army.
