ATLSLIM'S NFL:Week 12 (21-9-2 ytd.)

Good day, fellow gamblers! Excellent week to consider a bunch of wagers!!! Remember, it is a war!! Our purpose on this forum is to Crush the books!! Jetplane and other books included!

As of now(anything can happen in a couple of days) my leans are:

Tennessee -4.5
Philadelphia +1
Minnesota +3
Carolina +1.5
NYG -3.5
Indy +3
New Orleans -2

I hope to narrow these down to 3 or so. These are lines available now.

Wow, agree with all the picks except NO. I think GB's WR's will be just as good as NO's in that dome, on fake grass. So GB's "D" gets the advantage over NO's, who can focus on the run to stop that, but there's no way they stop GB's passing attack.

Crap, ATL didn't work out for me, but watching the gm, I thought DEN just played their best ball, both on "O", "D", and special teams, so ATL was just a tough luck play. Crap.

Anyway, BOL on whomever you decide to play!!

Fellow gamblers, how about Thursday Night Football? Pittsburgh heavily favored(-11) and Cinci with 5 total off. linemen. Some game,huh??!!! This could very easily be a 13-3 game. Yet I can't pull the trigger on the Under!! It is around 35. I like Pitt, but double digits are hard to spot in the NFL. DD dog are like 14-3(approx.) this year. What does the forum think?
ATLSLIM thinks that there is better value in College FB tonight!! Miami is coming to Atlanta tonight to play Georgia Tech and although I like Tech, Miami getting 3.5 is worth the investment.
On to the rest of the games this week. For now my two teams that I like the best are Tennessee and Carolina. The line has moved as though everbody else likes them also. This would be a squares play, but they win also. Everybody is looking for Tenn. to lose eventually, and they will, just not to the Jets at home. Atlanta, I love them Falcons,has peaked already. They were only supposed to win 4.5 games this year, that have exceded all expectations!! Their QB is alive for Rookie of the Year. Carolina is a better team. Plain and simple. They will stop the Falcons run game and make it very hard to score. For now, that is all I have.

Tonight, if you need the TV action, take Miami(Fla)+3.5 and thank me tomorrow. GLTA!!! CRUSH the books!!!!!! ATLSLIM

Man, I thought my college action play was more in line than the final score! The Yellow Jackets dominated!! Oh well, The SEC is my area of expertise in college football, on to the big boys!!

I guess my competition with Mac for $1000 is over, maybe not. He posted lines for our thread, but I haven't heard from him yet. That was last week, when he cancelled his other thread contest. I thought he was on the up and up. Might still be, but there sure has been a lot of drama(prior to his not posting, he said he might be going away with no computer access) Oh well, such is life! Gamblers are usually gentlemen of their word, Mac may still come through!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Carolina game. What are the key figures/stats/findings that pushed you to put 4 units on the panthers?

I'm up in Vail for opening ski weekend so Ill dont have time to cap (might grab a little of Carolina if you can convince me . good luck with the rest of your action!

Mr. Brotherwo, Vail is an excellent place to be! Was there in the early 70s. Wow , it has been a while!! Have a good time!!! Carolina and Atlanta have quite a rivalry. I have been watching these two teams for years now and Carolina loves to have to stop the run. Which is the case Sunday. The Falcon running game is what makes Matt Ryan go. Carolina will stop the run and make it hard on Ryan. Carolina has a pretty good ground game themselves. Atlanta has always struggled vs. good running teams. I think any points with the Panthers is a gift. Best of luck to you in Vail!! ATLSLIM
