I would say at least 15 years of regular gambling.
Fish, at what age do you believe a gambler is in prime?
Journeyman said:I will say a good 10 years but, reading and actually listening to some of the veterans you can shave a lot of time off now that the internet is here.
The problem is most people will still succumb to their own weaknesses and bet TV games, all the late games, just to have action etc.
The TV games and special night games will kill you....other than chasing this is still the biggest problem most people will have, not betting MNF etc.

uppy: Now, back to WVU's post. I think WVU is right on target with the senility thing and experience. Sometimes I can't remember my SS # but I can tell you that Nebraska was a "opening" 14 point favorite over Miami, in the 1984 Orange Bowl for the National Championship. OBTW, for inflation adjusted dollars, the largest bet I ever made. Florida was the ONLY loss Miami had that year and I was in Gainesville for that game. Florida beat Miami till they cried, and then beat them some more for crying. Just like yesterday. I hope I don't lose ALL of my memories. LT
