Take this one to the bank. LSU has mailed it in. They still have not recovered from that bitter OT loss to Bama. Effort against Ole Miss last Saturday was pathetic. I don't see it improving any this week. If you can't get fired up to defend your homefield, then what kind of effort level do you think they will put forward this week? LSU is a weak-minded team that has the definite look of a team that has thrown in the towel. Season has been a huge disappointment for them.
Our only shimmer of a run game is out Friday. Michael Smith has a hamstring injury. Ark was able to jump out to a 14-0 lead last weekend on the shoulders of Smith. He got injured and we became one dimensional in an instant. Ark went to LSU LY and beat them 50-48, so you know they've got a bad taste in their mouths, being such a heated matchup for the Boot.

Something is definitely wrong in Baton Rouge this year. The situation with the QB is understandable, but that isn't LSU's problem. The problem is that their defense, especially their DL, is sucking ass and seriously underachieving. However, with Arkansas' running game nonexistent, I will play the clear talent advantage that LSU has....and hope that Miles plays some of the younger guys who WANT it more than some of these sleep-walking seniors.
You're right, something is definately wrong and the co d coordinator thing is not working. Would have been nice to see Tenuta get that job after Pelini left. I personally think LSU could give a shit about this game and have packed it in this year. I really don't think they give a flying fuck about going to the chicken sandwich bowl in the A - Town.
