Arizona State vs USC on 10/01 by Craig_Brown

USC has all the buzz; Lincoln Riley, Caleb Williams, an undefeated record, and a No. 6 national ranking. The masses will reflexively bet on them because of the hype train that follows their every move. And that’s not a bad thing if you are looking for value on the other side.

Now it’s not that USC should be on auto-fade by any stretch of the imagination but the point spreads are growing congruently to the Trojans’ soaring reputation. And in this case, we see that their opponents are not only a conference rival but one that defeated them last year. That’s just another reason why the public believes the Trojans will cover – revenge!

Don’t buy into it. This spread is too high especially when ASU is weak stopping the run and pretty decent against the pass, currently ranked 38th allowing 194.5 passing yards per game. I envision USC running over, into, and through the Sun Devils which will take time off the clock and permit an ASU cover with all those generous points.
