Well the three game playoff to determine the winner ends today with Tigre playing Boca (at the home of Racing Club/neutral stadium) with San Lorenzo already officially eliminated. Tigre must win by 2 or more goals to claim the title. Obviously a tough ask against one of the best South American sides but not impossible. Boca will miss Vargas and playmaker Riquelme.
The odds here favor Boca too heavily. They are the bigger name and the SLIGHTLY better team but the odds makers are off base here. Tigre and Boca finished this Apertura with identical records and goal difference. Tigre actually defeated Boca at their stadium 3-2. And considering the circumstances today;
-a draw and even a one goal loss will be enough for Boca to claim the title
-Boca misses their best attacking player in Riquelme
