Yes qwerty, most of the major casino companies have casinos in Laughlin, and there books are satellite extensions of the Las Vegas joints.

Have spent a TON of time in Laughlin in my lifetime.

For sportsbooks you have.........

THE RIVERSIDE
FLAMINGO
RAMADA
HARRAHS
COLORADO BELLE (CIRCUS CIRCUS)
RIVER PALMS
GOLDEN NUGGET

The Golden Nugget is a nice little book and a good place to hang out. Been snockered there on many a occassion.

The best thing LAUGHLIN has to offer is the colorado river, great introductory slots, jet skiing, and loose women however ugly.

Laughlin is not the place to be for sportsbetting overall.

I was in Vegas one summer when the temperature was 117. I figured I would go to Laughlin to cool off ! Bad move as it was 120 in Laughlin.

Vegas would be a Dolphin, Laughlin a Tadpole.

Used to live there. Laughlin caters more towards older clientele. My favorite was either Harrah's or the Golden Nugget - there was a dance club called Tarzan's in Laughlin that pretty much had the market cornered on what few hot chicks lived or visited that area.

Hotel prices will be extremely reasonable. I know the Ramada and some other places there used to have 19.99 rooms during the week...not sure if they still do, but I would check it out.

Unfortunately, there just isn't much to do in Laughlin other than the casinos. Yes the river is right there...you can count on at least one drunk stupid jackass dying each weekend on a) jetski or b) swimming when wasted then drowning. There is a outlet mall there which they wifey might like. I also liked the movie theater in the Riverside with a full bar. My wife sure liked having a cold can of Riverside Light while watching a flick. I think they have an amateur strip night at Riverside on Thursday's, but its been about 6 years since I lived there so I could be wrong. I got so hammered at a party Don Laughlin threw in his penthouse at the top of the casino...I also think I got food poisioning from the peel and eat shrimp he was serving, but since it was free beer I decided not to complain. He seemed like a nice enough guy.

Enjoy your trip there. Unless you really need a change of scenery, I'm not sure I'd go down to Laughlin. But if you do, watch your speedlimits when driving through Searchlight. Holy shit the cops there are brutal.

Yellow-- You defenitely proved that you used to live in Laughlin.

Spent many a night in Tarzans Lounge.

Almost killed myself numerous times on the jet-ski............it is so crowded on the river at times.

And yes posters, make sure you do not speed whatsoever going through Searchlight or you will be nabbed.

ps- If you remember the movie LEAVING LAS VEGAS, many of the casino scenes were filmed in Laughlin at the River Palms, including the scene were Nicholas Cage falls over at the BJ table.

Also, the RIVERSIDE is home to the largest FLUSH ATTACK bank I know of in the world...............22 machines!!!

$19.99 would be expensive for a room midweek, especially in the blazing heat of summer. Count on Laughlin being 5 degrees warmer than Las Vegas.

You can travel from casino to casino using the boats for about $4, I believe.

I like the Flamingo Hilton, its an older property but often has the best room rates and you can check and book on the web. The poker room is OK and relocated with a river view, but the best place for poker is the Colorado Belle.

I'm 60 and definitely one of the younger crowd when I visit, winter only.

Golden Nugget has the best rooms IMO.

Laughlin is MORE than 5 degrees hotter than Vegas .......more like 7-9 degrees and much higher humidity due to the river.

Two questions, please

What are the normal limits for sportsbooks in Laughlin?

How long a drive from Vegas?

It is a 90 mile drive from Vegas.........and the road is very dangerous considering the traffic and its only two lanes......with many trucks.

If you ask the Supervisors on most places that are connected with Vegas, you will get the same limits as those in Vegas.

The exception would be the RIVERSIDE, which has ultra low limits.

The best book for viewing games in Laughlin is either the Golden Nugget or Harrahs.

ps- Be sure to pick up your BJ matchplays in the mall.

Would love to see some hotties. Guess the Hard rock on a Friday night will suffice.

If you're driving between Vegas and Laughlin... watch out for the traffic cops as I got a ticket there as have many others. They lay out for your just before the Searchlight junction. If you are out of state, forget about a reduction in your ticket fine ! I would stay in Vegas.

Guess it's a long time since you went Fishhead!

Since 9/11 and the policy of no trucks over Hoover dam it's been upgraded. The worst is 3 lane, 2 one way and one the other and it is now mostly 4 lane divided. In March the North part, adjacent to railroad pass, was being upgraded.

I agree it USED to be a real white knuckle drive.
