Are there going to be any face2face McCain/Obama debates before Nov 4?

It beats him and Hillary going at it like a married couple.

Gawd, I couldn't stand seeing that smug asshole there and the clear bias with the interviewer questions.

Nope.

Obama is chicken.

  • September 26, at the University of Mississippi, on foreign policy and national security, moderated by Jim Lehrer of PBS.
  • October 7, at Belmont University, in Tennessee, on topics drawn from a town-hall audience and moderated by Tom Brokaw of NBC News.
  • October 15, at Hofstra University, in New York, on domestic and economic policy, moderated by Bob Schieffer of CBS News.
  • The campaigns also agreed to hold a debate between the yet-to-be-named vice-presidential candidates, on October 2 at Washington University in St. Louis, moderated by Gwen Ifill of PBS.
I know you are of lesser intelligence but this just takes a quick look see. I guess instead of "no" you meant to say "yes, there are three already scheduled and one TBA" innocent typo.

Political campaigns have become such a celeb-rotten carnival show. 90% of the time the media is too busy playing "gotcha" for there to be a serious discussion on the ISSUES.

We should be having an UNSCRIPTED debate EVERY SINGLE WEEK -- essentially, what the McCain campaign offered the Obama campaign.

Predictably, Obama chickened out.

Folks, compare the circus we have now vs the Lincoln-Douglass debates of 1858.

Does the current format serve YOU? Do you feel YOUR voice is being heard?

I rarely advocate any type of government mandate, but here's one I would enthusiastically support:

MANDATED WEEKLY DEBATES BEGINNING 90 DAYS BEFORE AN ELECTION!

McCain has been talking trash about debating for one reason: he's behind.
Obama has declined for one reason: he's ahead.

When the debates do happen, McCain will be lucky to come away with a push and he knows it.
