Are there any strong Candidates in The Dem Party?

This is a serious question because even though I lean to the conservative side I think it is importnat to have checks and balances. It seems that all of the Democratic spokes people are comedians. By the way Al franken wasn'r even very funny altough he did have the week gay guy Stewardt Smalley down. He didn't even look like he was acting

Joe Biden has expressed interest and would be a very solid candidate if he could gain name recognition. Has a very moderate, but firm tone and strong credentials on defense issues. Also, if Gen (Ret.) Wes Clark can sharpen up a second time around, would be a very good candidate.

Zell Miller and Joe Leiberman are the only two Dems I can think of that are worth a vote - although if Teddy ran, I'd have to switch parties and vote for him - then the Repubs would be guaranteed a win.

The Dems are a joke - they've lost the nation and they're losing more voters every day - and they don't even see it!

The hispanics are deserting the Dems in droves and more blacks are becoming middle class main stream, and are starting to figure out who's really on their side as they join the GOP.

Teachers unions, tort attorneys, prison inmmates, illegal aliens, homosexuals and Hollywood are about all that the Dems have going for them - that and the party diehards who would vote for Hitler and Stalin if they were Dems.

That leaves about 60% to 70% of the nation to vote for Truth, Justice, and the American Way as the Republicans consolidate and strengthen their hold on both Houses of Congress, the White House, and now the Supreme Court.
