I must admit, I love these movies. I did a "Matrix Marathon" yesterday. Before yesterday, I've seen the first one about 15-20 times (LOVE IT). Neo realizes his vision has been blurred and the "real world" is not what it seems, starts his training, he knows he's going to have a long journey ahead of him, but not sure why, and makes a choice by risking his life to save Morphius', realizes he IS the ONE. I put Reloaded in minutes after. Seen the second one about 5-7 times, excellent as well. I finally figure out how Zion works and operates, explains better what the matrix, Zion, and the "real world" actually are. Neo is still looking for answers, not answers for questions, but answers for chioces he's already made. In all this, Smith is everywhere now that he's become unplugged and "free." Went right out after the second one to the new theature by my house (VIP theature, nice reclining lazy-boy types) to see the third one. This one was good but I expected a little more. I won't give too much away. I understood a little better why he was there, to save the world 'n all, not to make choices but to understand why he's already made them, save Zion, finally defeat Smith. I love how all of these movies made me think. I'm still a little clowdy, but I'm going to watch the second and third one again a couple more times. Even watching the first one, I still pick up more things everytime.

I apologize for the ranting. I know a lot of people don't even like these Matrix movies. I prolly should take this thread and move it to the Matrix Forum

I really like the first Matrix movie, and one must accept the fact that the heroes/heroine go around with sunglasses, long leather coats and tight-fitting, painted-on black leater/latex.

The second movie I also saw at the theater, liked it a good deal less than the first - though I did enjoy the ending. I thought Morpheus would never STF up in that scene where he addressed the crowd, the movie dragged for me and the scene with Neo staying around forever to fight all those cloned agents, and split anyway, was too much overkill for me. But still, I like it okay.

But I've read reviews on the 3rd movie and this time I'm waiting for it to hit DVD rentals (I've got a large-screen HDTV/home theater stereo system so I'm not missing much at all, if anything) - the reviewer had seen the others and had no real idea what happened, as did 9 out of 10 people she interviewed right after the movie. I tend to get pissed off when stuff gets really murky, so I'd rather be pissed off at my home and be able to stop and go back on the DVD to figure it out.

Yes, it's odd - it was, probably around 4 months or so ago. Also caused some problems for the Oscars, as they are unsure as to how to handle these films, for honors like special effects, since they would probably be competing against themselves - do they consider them as one or 2 movies? Odd - at least the Rings trilogies were released one per year.

Hache man, I agree. The reason behind it may have been because Reloaded made so much money in the theatures and on DVD sales that they didn't need to wait to put this 3rd one out. I honestly have no idea, it's just a guess. I do love these movies though, I'll keep watching the second and third one over and over until I become........................the one.

A lot of the answers seemed kind of the same but, this is what I was told -

You are Morpheus, from "The Matrix." You have strong faith in yourself and those around you. A true leader, you are relentless in your persuit.

You are Neo, from "The Matrix." You display a perfect fusion of heroism and compassion.

So I am THE ONE

SubZaero, thank you for that. Do you have anymore "Matrix stuff?" I hate to knock The Matrix but I did read this website one time about the flaws of certain movies and how there were mistakes in them. The Matrix movies do have a lot of mistakes in them. I could go on and on...............
But, I still love all 3 of them, I hope there will be a fourth.

Saw it. Didn't think it was murky at all.

The movie is much more reminiscent of the first part, in its tone and plot.

If you really liked the CGI special effects in the second one, you will be a bit disappointed, because they got away from that..but there are still some kicking scenes in this one.

The reason they released it the way they did is because it was originally supposed to be one massive movie. They then realized they needed to do 4.5 hours, and no way they could release that..so they chopped it into 2, and released em in the same year.

Possible there will be a fourth, but highly unlikely.

MARSELLUS & Tablarasa:
Yes, they were all unbelievable. I think you're right, there will not be a fourth. I'm still picking up things from the first and second movies.
I'm not one to look for flaws but it wasn't hard to find some flaws, especially in the second (Reloaded).
I have to watch Reloaded 10 more times and Revolutions at least 18-20 more times.

The Matrix series is the most over-hyped piece of shit series in the history of cinema. It is made all the worse by the fact that the basic storyline is so cool, yet the finished product so very bad. The passable first episode is overshadowed by the utterly revolting second and third.

Just my $ 0.02 but fans of the Matrix series are far too forgiving. They see the concept and the handful of very cool special effects/fight scenes and just ignore the flaws.

For a laugh, see the Matrix:Reloaded abridged script by Rod Hilton.

And drink more Powerade (tm).

The Matrix has grossed millions and has revolutionized the film industry and the game industry(max payne, true crime, mafia and so on) with the bullet effect. Movies and cartoons have copied The Matrix special effects such as

is one of the greatest movies of the millenium, if not what movies are? The Wachowski brothers are brilliant to think of a movie like this, who knows what they smoked but they're vision is deep real deep. If you compare our world to The Matrix is there that much difference? We all fall in the same category, we all would like to think of ourselves as individuals, but were not really. Advertising controls the world i can make a lot of points on this but it will take too long. What most people say and do isn't the product of themselves, but the product of what they're told to think and do. No one can be told what the matrix is, they can only be shown.
