I wonder if #756 will be the most valuable baseball of alltime...I really can't see the same kind of fanfare (paying a million dollars etc) we have seen in recent years but it would be some feat to get your hands on that baseball....I actually meant #715 and #756...my heavens he could pass both Ruth and Hank this year! I would love to see the Giants win it actually...

As much as I do not like the swirling steroid scandal, I still find myself captivated by Bonds..

Doesn't matter how old you are or how hard you work but you can always run a ground ball out. He doesn't play the game hard all the time. I guess he's like my boy Randy Moss. All the talent in the world, best player in the game at their respective positions so they get away with "taking a play off every now and again."

I dont see anyone ever paying more than what was paid for the Mcgwire ball. Homeruns have become to common place and I think that most people have the belief that any HR record will be broken in the very near future. I myself believe that AROD will break whatever number Bonds is able to hang.

Joe Borowski was a very good closer for the Cubs 2 years ago, when they were basically an out away from the world series, and they did it with him...

Hawkins still has some gas in the tank......

And if the Cubs get off to a strong start, they will likely deal for a closer if they see a need....they wont sit on their heels this year......

I hate to lose Sammy, as he did so much for Chicago in his career, but at this point it looks like a case of addition by subtraction...

I do hate losing Moises, think he was a quality bat in the lineup, but sometimes a liability in the field.....will improve that with hairston....
