Are any (Wildcard) teams ripe for a letdown?

Seemed like a pretty emotional game (IMO).

I don’t think there will be any emotional letdowns.
It’s the NFL playoffs.
They are playing to win, for championships, fame, future salaries.

NOT referring to the line, but everyone on Stupid Book Readers forum say "They have zero chance of beating the Vikings". Not covering the line, zero chance of winning.

I've watch this team since I could walk. Dee Ford is back opposite Bosa, starting safety Tartt is back (this was a huge loss) and Kwon Alexander is allegedly back (huge especially in pass coverage).

Cousins didn't even play that great, made one great throw. Will the Vikings cover? Maybe, the backdoor cover is always an issue? Do the 49ers have "no chance"?

Everyone was ready to bury Zimmer and Cousins one week ago, and now they are going to beat the Niners at home on two weeks rest?

The letdown angle is one of the biggest misconceptions with regards to the NFL playoffs. Since 2003 Wild Card teams are 18-11 ATS in the Div Round, although just 2-6-1 last 4 years. 9-21 SU since 2003 but have gone 1-13 last 14.

These are professional athletes, their goal isn't to win a Wild Card game. Teams don't lose/non cover because of a letdown, they lose because they weren't good enough.

Big difference between a letdown and a beat down. Minny was beat. They didn't letdown! They were exhausted. I never like the term letdown in sports because I believe it implies they are content and don't really care if they win or lose.

There is a huge difference between the reg season and playoffs. If you think winning a WC game produces a let down you're nuts

Minnesota got whipped because they were manhandled on both lines. There wasn't any "let down".
