dont know how he did that with the steamroller

but they never showed a close up of him while he was there

definately was illusion somehow as the shots of his feet didnt fit in with the front shots

also the one he drops from the atrium think that was done with cables as you can see him release something when he hits the ground

after watching him awhile he always talks quite a bit to get the illusion set up in the beginning - and uses distractions to take your focus away

still like watching though

If I were there in person, Id be impressed, over the television, Im not impressed with illusions, if that were the case Id be on the lookout for Capt Barbossa and the crew of the Black Pearl when I go to the Caribbean side of Costa Rica....

There was a hole in the ground underneath the blanket, you could actually see the spot where he was supposed to lay down when they showed the overhead. There was also a guy there who kept pulling the blanket taut as he went under

Thought it was one of his weaker tricks

A buddy of mine I know works for the T.V. show. He said it is 100% fake. He pays random audience members to be astonished and participate, and most of the time they edit the camera footage, so if you were there in person, there would really be nothing to see. But at home, it looks cool because of all the editing/camera work done in the studio.

I went to see Lance Burton in Vegas when he was performing in a small venue back a few years ago before he became popular. I had a front row seat. He brought one of his girl assistants out to the front of the stage about 5 feet from where I was sitting.. He wrapped her in a blanket until just her head was showing. And then he made one big jerk of the blanket and twirled her around about 3 times and pfft she was gone. I watched this trick pretty close and I swear I don't see how it was done, because there was no distracting smoke or anything. She was there and then she wasn't. Like you were looking at somebody and then they just disappear in front of you like a blink of an eye. I still haven't seen a better trick since. This guy is pretty amazing in person. Oh yeah, if you ever go see this guy, go to his late show. That's when all of his assistants are topless. At least they used to be.

He did some tricks on the oprah show. She participated. Do you think she was a paid actor or was the audience paid to react a certain way?

If you like that kind of stuff it might interest you but it's far from being the real thing. Once the shoot is all done and ready for TV, that's what it is --> a show. Those people are paid actors involved, they get paid to both help in the trick and then get "blown away" once it's done.

I don't like it but that's just my opinion, really gets tiresome hearing how his life is out there on the line for every stunt. Yawn. Feel like I am being hustled every time I watch the show. BTW google Criss Angel and fraud, you will get a lot of hits.

Absolutely. Except she was being paid by the advertisers

Not a bad idea...here is an entertaining thread of other magicians debating whether to classify Angel as an illusionist or an actor. I am strongly of the opinion he is the latter.

Wait until he "walks" up the light of the Luxor. How do you explain how he walks on water?
