Police are the bravest amongst brave. People need to stop complaining about police brutality and let them do their job. I salute the brave police of my local county!

Police Family Violence Fact Sheet

Two studies have found that at least 40% of police officer families experience domestic violence, in contrast to 10% of families in the general population. A third study of older and more experienced officers found a rate of 24%, indicating that domestic violence is 2-4 times more common among police families than American families in general. A police department that has domestic violence offenders among its ranks will not effectively serve and protect victims in the community. Moreover, when officers know of domestic violence committed by their colleagues and seek to protect them by covering it up, they expose the department to civil liability.

I'm not surprised at that 'Funk. I think it has to do with the fact that cops know they can usually get away with more than the average person so they're more likely to engage in that kind of shit.

When will these cops learn?
So when we hear a police officer has been killed in the line of duty tomorrow night, do we have to feel remorse for him?

They breath and bleed just like the criminals or so called criminals they are chasing as well.

Every cop who was involved in that, should get be locked up in a cage with whoever got beat down and his buddies. We will see who lasts then. Seems like a fair exchange to me.

The guy was driving a stolen car. I am so sick of tired of people criticizing the police under these circumstances. The guy steals a car and the police have to pursue him. He deserves to get the shit beaten out of him. End of Story.

I can't wait until the guy's police record comes out.

-1000 this is not the first time he has gotten into trouble before.

Fvck criminals. You people would be the first ones crying if this guy killed some innocent kids while being chased by the police.

I have to question the motives of the group behind these so called "studies." On the one hand cops face stress and that definitely could spill over to when they get home....However, (no I'm not Stephen A. Smith ESPN/NBA reporter) cops KNOW the domestic violence laws better than most and they know they can lose their job over the smallest incident. If the average guy hits his wife and gets arrested he usually won't lose his job over it!!! Cops have incentive to stay away from it. If they arrest people for it on a daily basis it is something in the forefront of their mind. They know no matter how angry you get you can't lay hands on her or it can cost you bigtime. Now I know many go the "they won't arrest a fellow cop" route but in this day and age after all the IA investigations in the LAPD and NYPD, depts are tired of the bad pub from bad cops and are more likely to crack down. The cops know this and if they have half a brain they take their anger/stress out in other ways before hitting the wife. Just my opinion.

What brutality. Just watched the tape again at the LA Times.com (you have to register, it is free) http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-062304beating_lat.story

The guy didn't exactly surrender. He drove into a deadend street, bailed out of his car and ran for it. When the police finally caught him he turned around towards the police, a scary moment since he could be packing a weapon. The police tackled him, tried to handcuff and I saw him resist. The police had every right to beat the shit out of him.

and yes, pay up on my -1000 bet.

Law enforcement sources familiar with Miller's record said he has five prior convictions for various crimes, including burglary, attempted burglary and weapons charges.

Five prior convictions huh? This asshole should be taking it up the ass in jail.

End of story. No lawsuit, no money, just jailtime for this loser.

Calm down Kenny...

I agree with you, the police are in a tough spot when it comes to containing a criminal, the problem is that this particular episode will now be viewed by everyone in the next couple days...

Its a shame but these cops who may have all had perfectly good intentions are now going to have to answer to the authorities...
