One of the owners of Afleet Alex was caught sobbing on camera.

Geez Lady it is just a horse race. Get your $hit into perspective.

There was a whole other underlaying meaning going on
The horse "represented" her daughter which died from cancer

buy some of Alex's lemonade and repent for this post

I don't know why she had her hopes up; Afleet Alex never looked like he was going to win during the run for home. Ran a damn good race though.

I think it was that girl Alex's mother, not 'one of the owners' if your implication is she was some rich person crying that she was not making money

Her daughter died last August - how do you think you would react if one of your kids died and you had all this going on to remind you about it?

I would have never allowed someone to name a gambling horse after my kid.. Especially if I was in a fragile state..

I Believe 10% Of This Horse's Winning's Now Go To The Childrens Hospital, Were That Ladies Daughter Was Treated For Cancer.

I Would Say A Very Nice Thing To Do For A Owner , Who Did Not Even Now Them, Until He Read The Story In The Newspaper.......

The horse was already named Afleet Alex before knowing of the other Alex. The ownership group learned about the cause of Alex's Lemonade Stand and decided to donate 10% of all WPS finishes to the cause. Needless to say, the finish was a cumlination of a week long of bottled up emotions.

At least get the story somewhat straight before you make a comment. What an ass.

the horse wasn't named for the girl - the owners have kids named Alex and the horses father was Northern Afleet.

One of the owners heard about this girl a few years ago and that is why he contacted her parents.

the beauty of a woman

i dont care how young or old, perfect or imperfect, confident or fearful, or mature or immature she is, every woman would like to be more beautiful than she is now. And most women dont think they are as beautiful as they really are. I have never met a woman who would not enjoy being told that she is beautiful, especially by the man in her life. if you find a woman who doesnt want to be told that she is beautiful, its probably because she has gone too many years without hearing it, or perhaps when she did hear it she was violated in some way because of it. Whatever the case, she is responding out of hurt.
the main thing that makes a woman beautiful is knowing that she is loved. Thats why having God's sprit living in her and spending time in god's presence in praise and worship is the most effective beauty treatment available. His love beautifies her inside and out.

God made woman beautiful. the woman of the bible, such as Sarah, Rachael, Rebekah and Ester were exceptionally beautiful, and who can doudth the beauty in Mary and Eve. Inherent in a woman is the desire to see beauty both in herself and in her surroungd. It is a natural instinct God has put there because he wants her to desire him, the most beautiful of all. He wants her to look to him so she can reflect his beauty. (psalm 27:4)

Baseball guy,
You really should have paid more attention. The story about the girl that died of cancer had many of us in tears and you should know that was the girl's mother.
The Alex's lemonade stand surely had all of us rooting a little for that horse.

Next time think before you speak, I agree completely with Labeeb in his assessment.

Photo of the courageous Alexandra Scott shortly before her death after battling neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer, for seven and a half years.

Ok first of all I hope you all enjoyed bashing me.

Second how the fvck was I supposed to know the whole story? They just showed the lady sitting there crying while watching the horse lose.

What like if the horse won it would have cured cancer or something?

Lots of people have had cancer. This was a horse race period. I love how people love to blow $hit completely out of whack..

Drama queens.
