He was the WORST host i have ever seen.

He couldn't act for a second , he was looking at cue cards throughout each sketch and wasn't even attempting to look at his costars in the sketches, absolutely embarrassed himself

I saw the previews and knew it would be horrible. He talks like he has marbles in his mouth.

I can't stand Shannon Sharpe talking with marbles in his mouth so I won't be watching this.

That bad, huh?

Sounds funny. Reading this thread makes me want to see the show. Always love a good trainwreck.

They put him in the part of an awkward teenager. I guess they felt the need to play to his strengths.

I thought the episode was pure hilarity!!!

And I agree.
Phelps had fun with it, and everybody knew you weren't going to get Al Pacino.
He's a swimmer for God's sake, not an actor.

truth be told, it wasnt phelps that made it hilarious, it was the crew, but phelps certainly was not the worst eveer....

I particcularily liked the opening skit, and the NEWS.... as well as the sketch about 'my 5"

:nohead:

Im still giggling.

I love watching SNL after recording it coz the 1.5 hour show is only 35 minutes wihout commericials and the musical guests.
