For what it's worth, even tho I'm not playing this game, I would take the points if Hawaii gets to +21 or better and the over. Both teams air it out a lot. Lots of clock stoppage, big plays and turnovers. Going to be sloppy I would imagine, and while cal is better, they lost a superstar in goff and some WRs. Defensively both teams are going to be brutal, so I could see a 24-21 game at half and about 75 for the total. Like I said, it's a no play for me, but I'll gladly watch it to see what cal looks like this year without goff

Hawaii new OC, DC, HC and no talent. Cal entire offensive production at WR left (top 6 guys left and another just transferred so they lost 7 WR...insane) and new QB transfer has to learn this offense. Robertson will be a really special player but way more questions than answers in this game. Webb was an INT machine when he started in 2014....only game he didn't throw one was vs UTEP

I watched the Cal spring game. Lightning pace and horrific tackling. They are really going to miss Nickerson on the defensive side of the ball at the start of the season.
Apparently the field is going to be slow which really benefits Hawaii and under backers as it negates speed advantages for Cal. A dirty ball is also harder to throw with precision so if it is really muddy then it gets that much more difficult for the cal and over backers.
Also, Hawaii returns quite a bit from last year and while they were not very good players, they were not as awful as some of you think and they were all but lame ducked the last half of the year. They are starting to move back towards the June Jones style of offense which is when their program had success. Doubt it is ready for this game and they have nowhere near the offensive talent of those Jones' teams but it is something to consider as far as potential increased hawaii pace. I heard on the radio or read somewhere that Jones is now coaching high school football on the islands.
