Oh, and I also just noticed what the play by play from ESPN fails to indicate, which was by the radio announcers, was that on that final shot at the buzzer, there was actually another final shot at the buzzer for 3 by Heidegger, who was blocked by a Hawaii player, and then the ball bounced around between Heidegger and the block apparently out of bounds or nearly out of bounds, but then it somehow wound up in the hands of a SB player maybe out of bounds, definitely deep in the corner, barely visable to the radio announcers ... It definitely wasn't passed to him deep in the corner, just a block of Heidegger who did not seem to be near the corner.
Then, per the announcers, the last shot was after double zeros, but counted by the refs anyway.
As I say, the announcers began openly speaking heavily about Vegas and the Vegas line very close to the end, and seemed to be concerned that a fix with the officials calls might even change the outcome of the game at the end. They were happy when at least 1 of 2 freethrows were hit with 8 seconds to go after there should have been an intentional above the shoulders call made (but there was not so Hawaii did not get the ball in addition to the 2 free throws). Maybe they were just homers for Hawaii, but seemed pretty certain about the intentional foul. When the first free throws were made they said they bet the refs were happy about that as it sealed the Hawaii win so that the refs were "off the hook" for their bad calls, especially the intentional, at least as it pertained to who was going to win the game ....
And then the block of Heidegger by Hawaii which normally shows up in the ESPN play by play ... but did not above for some reason.
And then somehow a shot after the buzzer cut the margin to the original opening line of 1, whereas the public had apparently bet the game up to 3.
Interesting game.
Phantom foul with 43 seconds left gives SB 3 free throws ... Foul with 8 seconds left was an intentional elbow to the face and should have been intentional for 2 shots and the ball back ... then check out the 3 pointer with no time ... announcers indicated it was after time expired, "didn't matter", but the refs counted it anyway -- fav. wins, but failed to cover after the line moved from 1 to 3 points -- Vegas cleans up
