I'm thinking about buying a Mac they're just so damn expensive. But from what I heard there are very few problems with them. Anyone have any input on Mac computers?
This. And I download the shit out of things. Never once had a problem. I would say the learning curve coming from a PC is about two weeks to get fully adjusted to it but I love it. I have had two macbooks in the past 5 years and the only reason I bought the second one is that I needed an upgrade and I liked the aluminum casing.
Once you go Mac you'll never go back.
Have a friend that purchased the 3 year warranty, her iMac was 2 years old and had an issue ( forgot what is was) they replaced it with a new 24inch iMac. She likes the fact you can call them with any little question or issue so for her it was worth it.
The AppleCare package is worth it, IMO. My harddrive failed on my imac after a little over a year but since I purchased AppleCare it was fixed and completely replaced within 24 hours.
