One time I asked to Customer Service if they comp players who spot a mistake and called in to warn you. Well the CS Manger Wally said NO.

Since I work lines I think this Wally don't understand that it's better to "give away" $10 than getting hit for $1000 or more. The point is that today there was an obvious mistake on NCAAB #519/520 total (check line history).

I placed a bet using their own test account just to prove Wally my point which is better giving away a comp than getting "hit".

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="98%"><tbody><tr bgcolor="#99cccc"> <td width="22%">Nov 27 6:59pm</td> <td align="left" width="32%">Basketball - Pending</td> <td width="30%">50.00 to win 45.45</td> <td align="right" width="15%">
</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="#99cccc"> <td colspan="4" width="100%"> 1. Basketball - Providence/Baylor - total Over 151½ (-110)
for the entire game held on Nov 27 at 11:30pm [pending]
</td></tr></tbody></table>
Well guess what answer I got?

"Please be informed that we have checked with the Booking Department and your wager is valid because our lines fluctuate from time to time. Thanks for actually pointing it out to us but when you got the line the total was lower than it actually is now."

So I said: "Hey, it was an obvious mistake!! I know u are saying that cuz it is not real money!!"

THE POINT IS: I won't put money into an account to abuse lines, but you guys should comp players , its for your own good!!! We sit infront DB all day and we can easily help each other out, don't you think? Also CS won't understand the whole pic.

cheers

Because CS doesnt have the power to give away comps, nor do the guys who made the mistakes. Is it really worth getting a dude in trouble for a human error just to score a ten dollar bet?

I would, especially if I knew you were a line mover yourself. Most sites clearly state that the book can and will delete wagers made on obviously bad lines. The correct course of a book who catches someone betting into bad lines, especially when betting double your normal amount, is to shut you down and send you your money.
