Everyone that I know is betting Patriots at -7 and even -7.5

That is pretty serious considering that Miami is the home team.
Sure anything can happen, but Miami is supposed to have a top notch D.

Will Henne be that bad considering it is now his 3rd year at Miami?
Will the Fish have any offense against the Pats or will Welker and Ochocinco
be too much.

What are the opinions here?

It feels like a square bet, but I think NE is going to win the game. Brady can torch any defense as long as he has a little time to throw, that's the one question mark. Can the Dolphins get pressure?

No more Ricky and Ronnie show back there to chew up clock and keep the game close. I get the feeling Miami is going to be looking at 2nd and long, 3rd and long a lot tomorrow. New England probably won't turn it over, and you might as well chalk up a Henne fumble or int right now.

I'll take the better team to win and cover the spread.

94% of the betting public is also on the Pats. Surprised that the adjustment has moved the major books yet past 7

i took pats in a 3 team parlay, the only reason id bet the dolphins tonight is to hedge my bet but i'm considering not even doing that! i think henne is garbage man and i dont see reggie bush making a difference. chad hennes offensive line sucks to boot and patriots D line is stacked. i think henne will be throwing picks and turnin the ball over. it comes down to brady vs dolphins D. if you think he will be able to pick them apart and get protection from his offensive line then ya gotta go with pats. if you think he wont get protection then go with dolphins. but dont forget that the pats defense can score too.

Not so fast my friends.
The right side of the Pats O-line never played there before as Pats. You have a rookie left tackle playing right tackle in his very first game. You have a right guard playing in his first game as a Pat.
Pats secondary at the saftey position has a lot of ques.Defense is totally revamped.
Miami is traditionally a house of horrors for the Pats.
Miami will be extrmeley motivated to revenge last years beatings.
7 point dogs at home within the division?

Better team new england. Night game heat should not be a factor. History brady's not all that in Miami. Season dedicated to Krafts wife. I will put small amount on the pats.

Seriously, I think ThaDude makes a lot of great points in this post. I live in Ohio now but grew up in S. FL and have been a season ticket holder for the Dolphins for 10+ years. I just can't see Miami pulling out one of their signature miraculous victories vs. NE that they have in the past. Miami's keys to victories in the past have been the ability to wind the clock with a steady pounding on the ground game and of course gimmick offensive plays. NE will be prepared for this and with losing Ronnie and Ricky they just simply don't have the ability to do so. Bush will make some plays but Thomas is banged up taking away their ability to "pound" the ball. There will be a ton of third and long situations where Henne will have to beat the Pats, which he simply has never proven he can do. Also, Miami's right side of the offensive line is a big question mark, and we all know how Reggie Bush is in pass protection and Thomas being a rookie that is playing hurt is a huge pass protection liability. Miami will play a lot of zone coverages which Brady will eat up down the middle of the field with Hernandez, Welker, and the other TE's. I almost think Miami is better suited playing man coverage due to their athleticism at the corner position and the lack of Patriot big, physical WR's. Miami is still very soft at the safety position in coverage.
I have capped this game somewhere in the range of NE 34 MIA 20, which is why I played the over and will probably be playing NE as well. GL to everyone tonight!!!

See Pat Patriots you are my new role model...yuo are able to give an unbiased, unemotional judgement of your own team strengths and weaknesses ...i could not do that this week and it cost me huge...thanks for the post!
