hi folks, i've been working for a very well known poker affiliate for 6-7 months now, and even though I LOVE poker and I love being involved with what's going on there are certain work related and non-work related issues that have me thinking that perhaps I should follow a different road.

I appreciate an opportunity when it's given to me, and with this in mind I have been thinking a LOT about this hard decision to start fresh. I don't think I have the necessary space that I need to grow here, I'm still employed and I still consider myself part of the company, and if I leave, I want to do it in an honorable way, with a decent time frame notice and a friendly resignation.

The reasons why I'm leaving I might discuss them with my future employer, I'm not gonna expose it on an internet forum for the obvious reasons and consistent jackasses. LOL.

SO, if anyone knows of a decent and respectable position at a poker room, sportsbook or casino, please PM me. I have experience in the 3 of them, as a supervisor, CS agent, line/props mover, and in my younger days, clerking. Obviously I know how to use many wagering and casino tools, dgs, ticketwriter, playtech and RTG to name a few. In poker I must name my experience as a poker player, you can find me playing live at the holdem club in Heredia at the $0.50-$1 tables, and I usually cash a $200-$300 in winnings on an average nite, if I do bad, I usually just leave with the same cash i arrived. Im an avid reader of the 2+2 and PocketFives poker forums. I play online at pokerstars and fulltiltpoker. I have played the sunday million once and almost cashed. I almost won the daily dollar tournament at FTP which averages around 8k/10k players. I finished in 44th place or so. so you might say I know my stuff and dominate the basics of the game theory and psychology. I know holdem, omaha, stud, razz and the mixed games as well including 2-7 lowball. Badugi, i really dont know much about it.

I can do afternoon and night shifts preferably! I prefer poker above everything, but i dont have any inconvenience in returning to the sports industry if a proper position for my experience is available.

Only serious replies please, for jokes and name calling please do it in another thread, there are plenty of garbage threads around here. There is the rubber room as well. Thank you.

What a long ass post of pure nonsense... healthy work environment? follow a different road? who do you think you are? Look at what you listed as experience... poker, sports wagering, moving lines, customer service rep..., all your missing is that you worked as a bouncer in a strip joint or something. With those qualifications you better get used to hanging out with us degenerates, junkies, druggies, lowlifes and scumbags of this world and the unhealthy work environment you will be exposed to constantly. Drugs, whores, gambling, booze... the list goes on. You talk alot of shit about wanting to work somewhere with a healthy work environment, somewhere with space to grow, respectable position... did you think this is the corporate world? I didn't see your Ivy League Diploma in your resume. Nope. Sorry. Not in this industry. Here if you know your shit you rise to the top like cream, if you are full of shit and know nothing you will get stuck at the bottom with the rest of the commoners, deadbeats and degenerates. In a nutshell if you don't have the job you want you are probably not qualified for it, if not you would of had it by now and still be there and not be wondering along looking for greener pastures.

Furthermore, if you are as good a poker player as you say you are you should just play poker everyday and collect your $200-$300 winnings per day on a good day and breaking even on bad days... if you split 50/50 the good days and bad days you are looking at $3000-$4000 a month. Do I think these numbers are accurate? NO!!! Everybody knows that any gambler that claims to always win and at worst break even is full of shit... you probably lose just as much or more as the average degenerate so get used to it.
