Patterson has not named a new starter. Backup Bram Kohlhausen, a senior, replaced redshirt freshman Foster Sawyer against the Sooners and nearly led them to a win, having his 2-point conversion pass batted away with less than a minute left.
The highly touted Sawyer started and threw three interceptions and a touchdown in 18 attempts, though he completed seven of his first eight passes for 103 yards and a touchdown before struggling and getting pulled in the third quarter. Kohlhausen had two TDs -- both in the fourth -- and no INTs.

Baylor's kid won easily (but hardly threw), aTm's lost close, FSU's imploded, NIU's was beyond awful, and Pitt wish they used their 3rd string QB

Can TCU pull off the wildcat like Baylor did?

TCU can cover and even win the game....Everyone is on Oregon because of no Boykin.....Watch TCU hang all game with a back-up QB.

Good luck!

Agreed. With all the speed and talent in the backfield and out wide (even w/o Doctson) all the QB has to do is distribute. This will be the fastest team oregon as seen all season hands down. My book has TCU +7, which I took this morning. But I've liked this team all season long. The TCU defense got a bit better as the season went along.

I would also add that this Oregon defense may be the worse one in the past 10+ years.

Wait till you next years defense, next year figures to be worse. face)(*^%
Really!! Why can't Oregon get defensive players up there. Makes no sense at all. Buckner is a beast on the DL, but not a ton around him. Figure he gets doubled tonite.

reference TCU @ Oklahoma this year. As 17 point dogs on the road almost won outright with Backup coming in for Boykin early in that game trailing by 17.@)

He's been doubled/tripled all year.

Front seven are all seniors, like this years DB's next years front seven will be young and inexperienced, they have some good players behind this years starters and good players coming in but just no experience.

I believe backups played the entire game. Boykin was out with ankle sprain and they saved him for Baylor game following week.

Agree to disagree that tcu hangs in:

The pac 12 and sec have dominated the bowl games, the big 12 other than Baylor has done very little other than come up short.... It's going to take a flipping miracle for tcu to hang with Oregon for the entirety of the game. They will score tho, because the defense isnt elite but expecting tcu to hang with a fully loaded Oregon while they are missing their two biggest playmakers is foolish. I'm not calling anyone names here or trying to start any arguments. Everyone is entitled to bet how they please, and by all means my recent record has showed I'm cold but this game should be over after the third quarter. I'd be SHOCKED if Oregon loses and I'd be pretty surprised if they don't win by double digits. Hanging in their with Oklahoma isn't as impressive as we all thought as displayed by Clemson. Tcu, Oklahoma, Baylor etc are all similar, they aren't physical enough by any standard. Say what you want about Oregon's defense but they've left the "finesse" term behind a while ago since they started beating Stanford and handling teams like USC, ucla and Washington who are physical natured teams. I'm guessing the loss of Boykin is detrimental being how it happened 48 hours ago, and doctson being out as well is the dagger... Tcu will compete but will get beat up all game.

TCU hasnt had 3 weeks to prepare like Baylor did. I think we all believe Boykin is worth a TD. Still not sure which way to go..

I like TCU straight up today even with a back up QB

The Ducks would have took an ass whipping with Boykin playing today.

Their backup is a decent player, and can feed the ball to his playmakers. But he won't do the special things Boykin could do, like escape a pass rush and throw a medium or long pass on the run. He won't sprint downfield for long gains. If you've seen Boykin play, you have to know it's quite a drop off. That being said, TCU will take advantage of this Oregon D. But TCU's defense will struggle mightily with this Duck offense. So many ways to beat you… I don't think TCU keeps up. Over a good possibility.

Highly doubted if they can employ like same of Baylor. Baylor had the time to practice that offense and no way TCU will be able to duplicate, as it was not part of their game plan prior to Boykins mishaps.
