Anyone here had kidney stones before?

I'm going to the doc in a couple of days but really worried here. I can't tell if I'm feeling kidney pain or back pain. I know I feel like shit when I sit in the car. In certain positions I feel ok. The pain is more to the left side if I had to pick. Anyone here know what back pain or kidney pain feels like?

Most pain I have ever experienced in my life. A kidney stone feels like you took a knife in the side. The pain comes and goes. Unless it is a small one, doesn't sound like a kidney stone.

I know what stones feel like and I hope you don't have to feel that pain. They can tell by x-ray if you have stones. It's not life threatening but it's something you don't want to go through for sure. I had stones procedure three times and it's not good. In my case the pain was about the lower ribs on the back. The pain when you have a kidney stone attack is like being kicked in the nuts.........but the pain will not subside for an hour and a half or so. It's that intense. And pain killers don't help unless you have some morphine on hand.

yeah, and then if you don't pass it you have surgery. That's no fun either. They stick a stent up your weenie for a few days........not fun....not fun at all.

DUDE,,, Ive had em twice,,, and please,,, im telling you,, USUALLY i dont believe in any of the BS health food cures,, but i went there finally because my doc wouldnt prescribe me oxy,,, and i was a week out to getting an mri,,

go to your local health food store,,, (not gnc) a good local one,,, i think the name of the product i used was like? stone breaker?? but i SWEAR!! in literally 1 day the pain eased,, (it took a full 24 hours or so,, to lessen) 3 days to go away,,, i took pills for a week,,,

normally im like,,, fuk that, give me oxy, and go see dr. but the shit really did work,,

NOPE,,,, I did NOT notice that i passed anything,,, my gut is that i caught it quick enough before they could cause bleeding??

, i started taking the pills 3-4 days before i got the mri,,, pain had ceased 100% doc did the mri,, and he didnt see anything,,

2nd time i just went straight to the pills,,, and again,,, i caught it right when it started this time,,, so in 3-4 days all pain was gone,,, i kept taking pills for like 7 days jsut to make sure,,,

I gave the remainder of the pills to a client that has had stones a dozen times over the last 20 years,,, and she was in pain,,, so i gave em to her,,, she said the exact same thing,,, 3-5 days,,, all pain gone,,, and she never passed anything either,,,

Im telling you Sal,, I Do NOT believe in natural cures,,, lolol,,, i believe in modern medicine,,, but a friend who had same issues told me the same,, that shit really did work,,, so for me,,, lol,,, i will give a natural cure a day or 2?? if it does nothing,,, im out,,,

Yeah, from what I'm reading I dont think I have one although there is some occasional pain down my groin. I do remember a sharp stabbing pain in my left kidney about a month ago.

How about a pinched nerve? Anyone ever get that?

I can feel it on my sides a little bit. It radiates to the groin at times. I got numbness in part of my right hand at times when I have my neck in a certain position. I got no idea what's going on. I will drink cranberry all day tomorrow. I just know the chair at work was killing me today.

When I had my stone a couple years ago, it is a pain I will NEVER forget... That was the only thing had had brought me to my knees, and I have been shot, caught near an explosion, kicked in the balls, car accident, etc.... you will know if you have s tone lol, it is far from uncomfortable!

WOW! The pain must be terrible.

I just saw a story of some chinese guy had 400 stones removed from his kidneys. They had to open a hole on his side and extract them with forceps. Apparently the guy had a high tofu diet and that causes kidney stones.
