I swear that when I am going through a losing streak on the games, (yes, even the best professionals hit losing streaks, ) that sex is the furthest from my mind. My gal wants it, and I would rather go to the dentist. Many may say that I am playing too high for it to affect my sex life, I just think I am too competitive. Conversely, when things go well and the tough beats turn into miraculous victories, sex once again becomes easy. Is this normal, or am I in the minority?

It is totally normal imo to have a higher sex drive when you are winning and a lower one when you are losing. According to my Darwinian theory of the world one's self worth correlates closely with financial status, with heavy emphasis on recent results. Self worth, in turn, relates closely to sex drive for both sexes. It's the reason women get turned on by men with money. Financial success and sex are very, very closely related.
To maximize relations with your gf I recommend disappearing for a while until you get your shlt together. I'd tell her you need to get some shlt sorted out and you'll be gone for a few days, but don't say it's related to gambling. She will be confused and partially blame herself which will work in your favor when you return. Then after a winning day call her up and say you miss her. If you don't have great sex after that then I'm a complete idiot.
