Bigbet, my former boss did the exact same thing. He'd have his wife shave his with a fairly big guard on the clippers. The guard fell off & it took a great big chunk out right in the front center.

Needless to say, he was the laughing stock of the company that Monday morning.

I don't cut my own hair but when I was in college to save money I had my wife use electric clippers to cut my hair. She screwed up so badly that she just had to go ahead and cut all of my hair off with no guard. It was awful. I fired her as my hair stylist and she was pleased with that decision anyway.
