Call the NFL league office. After watching all these flags flying, I am sure many league referees have torn rotators.

Do the Drop Arm Test.....Hold your arm straight out to your side (90 degrees) with your thumb down. Lower your arm slowly. If it drops suddenly, you probably have a rotator cuff tear.

The thing is it doesn't really hurt at all. You hear your shoulder pop and that's that. However when you try to do anything with that arm you soon find out it is extremely weak.

Maybe a torn labrum or an aggravated bursa sac.

Probably a minor ligament injury. I've had something similar to that in my one injury prone shoulder.

Go to your doc and get it checked. I went a year in pain had a very difficult time raising my arm above my head. Went to the doc it was just tendinitis . Gave me a choice of a cortizone shot or rehab. Went to rehab for a week learned the exercises in a week, pain was gone in 2 weeks. Still do the exercises they just work all the small muscles around the shoulder. Can't believe I waited a year in pain.
