If so, what did you get and what was the quality of the meat? They are running a special for Directv customers at the moment and it looks like a pretty good deal - $50 for 2 sirloins, 4 chicken breasts, 4 pork chops, 6 burgers, 8 hotdogs, 10 stuffed potatoes...free shipping too plus something about getting 4 more burgers for free?? I dunno, this thing just caught my curiousity and I thought about trying it - I will let everyone know how it turns out.

I sent some to my parents for christmas like 2 years ago. They seemed to like them pretty good. Warning though if you order something be prepaired for the 100's of e-mails and more than a few phone calls from the place trying to get you to order again. I finally had to be rude to the bastards after about the 6th phone call

Their stuff is decent. The steaks are not too big. The best things they have are the stuffed potatoes, the crab stuffed fish and the chicken kievs are the best.

ordered a variety pak for parent xmas before last, they enjoyed it....as said, stuff is NOT real huge, but they thought quality was pretty good.....dad said the big franks were real good and i had one of the 6 oz sirloins we grilled and they were actually pretty good.....

however, the next year, i went to order again with a coupon they had sent, and they screwed me over with c/s saying the coupon wasnt valid, etc.....absolutely refused to honor this coupon THEY HAD SENT ME, saying it had expired, even though it had NO expiration date on it, and had arrrived 2 weeks before.....anyway, made me mad enough, i told them just cancel the order, as stated above they email you and call, send stuff, then u go to order, and they don't honor it....

kicker is, even after saying this "holiday special" had expired and i couldnt order it at that price, i get ANOTHER flyer in the mail 5 days later, with same promo starting again......LOL

needless to say, even though parent enjoyed it, won't be ordering from them again...

Ridiculoulsy overpriced.

This.

I got 8 filets (8 ozs. each) for about $65 because of a gift certificate. That's about $8 per steak which translates into $16 per pound.

This stuff is ALL frozen people. It really didn't taste too bad but it's not like the unfrozen meat you would get cheaper from your butcher or supermarket.

You have to realize that Omaha steaks cuts ALL thei meats from sirloin. Doesn't matter what they call it, but it's all from sirloin.

I was going to post the same thing BAG. Living here in Iowa, we get much better steaks at the local grocery store at a much cheaper price.

Might I add that Omaha's customer service once you buy one thing from them is RELENTLESS. They will mail and call you nonstop for a long time afterwards. Very annoying

Once meat is frozen, regardless of cut, quality or the manner of packaging/freezing it is no longer as flavourful as it was before it was frozen.... No exceptions...... Omaha has a quality product but as mentioned, every item is frozen solid.

They jack up their prices to obscene levels and then constantly offer huge sales for promotions. If you go to their site, everything is $115 dollars for 4 steaks but then there is an "exclusive" sale where everything is 50% off that day. Decent product but overpriced and you can probably get better stuff from a local butcher for less money.
