The teams with the better FG Kicker has either won or covered the spread in most of the Bowl games.
TCU- All-American
Houston
NW
California- 4 year Senior
Virginia - all conference
Iowa
Miami- better than FLSt's wide right gang
Miss- Lou G award winner , and All American
Georgia
Ohio St
Ga Tech
dont know about the rest, but I sure others can fill in the ones I missed. I just was thinking that these teams with the better FG kickers have shown us that they also have a better all around team then we may have noticed. I wonder if it is a telling sign that of a team whose coach has addressed the majority of his teams problems on Off and Def, which now allows him to address the kicking game as well. Compared to those teams with a poor to average kicking game , which could indicate a poor Off or Def which has not been fully developed into a efficient and effective working unit yet. Hmmm , just a thought. What do you others think.
