Hell, I thinking the ACC Coastal will surpass the SEC West as the dominate division in the next year or two.

Especially with Babers, Fuente and Mendenhall leading the way.

Damn the SEC with sorryass Georgia and South Carolina hires. Yep, Acc about to rule.

I guess you are being a sarcastic with your "dominate" conference remark (must be an SEC education which is also "dominate" over everything else too). However, those kind of retread "defensive" coordinator-to-coach hires are indicative of the lack of imagination that many (not all) of the SEC programs have now. Smart was routinely beaten by any team with an imaginative offensive coach even with a bunch of nfl players on his defense. Muschamp is a complete joke. He's not even great at what he is known for. Fuente shredded the only team to beat mighty Bama this year. Babers gave mighty Tennesee all it wanted with players that freaking Bowling Green fields. And Mendenhall is a light years better coach than either Smart or Muschamp. Be a smart ass all you want, but the weakling ACC programs just made way better hires than two SEC teams. I find that interesting and another reason why the SEC is losing its stranglehold on Ncaa football dominance despite fielding the "best" talent on the field!

You must not follow recruiting very much. Kirby in Athens is about to lock down the most talent rich state. Loving the Smart hire. Dude is hot on the trail. In a scenario where a coach is fired at the end of a season, he has a good chance to land a top 5 class without coaching one game. Carry on with this ACC talk.

Wasn't talking about recruiting. The SEC always has and always will recruit better than the lowly ACC in football just like the vice versa situation in basketball. Kirby Smart or Numbnut Jones will out recruit Bill Snyder if they're coaching at an SEC school (especially UGA) but it doesn't mean they're a better coach. I never said the Acc was a better conference of that those teams were better teams. Pay attention. Any clown can win 9 games at UGA. However, because they refuse to hire better coaches, they will allow teams with nowhere near the talent compete with them (like the Citadel or Georgia Southern this year). If those programs had better ADs, they would make hires like Florida or Bama have. They would pick national championship level coaches and if not, at least someone up and coming that is a bright offensive mind, not re-tread defensive coaches that have only dealt with 5 star nfl level players under real head coaches in the past. Muschamp couldn't get it done at UF, what makes you think he can get it done at USC East with 3 star players. Smart will probably be ok, but they could have done way better. Should have backed the Brinks truck up and hired Gary Patterson or someone like that. When ypu have the resources and tradition of what they have behind them, they shouldn't be out "due-diligenced" by little brother, pathetic Acc schools.

Keep up the SEC talk as we head into the third year in a row without a champion from the "best" conference. Get used to it if the league keeps making mediocre hires.

jwhite...through all your BS ramblings lets get some points clear. I have an 8th grade education, WORKED on the farm
to help my family survive. Later got a college education because of football...not like you pretty boys with Mommie and daddy. I didn't
have 'Big Daddy' who gave a shit about sports. That was a life many SEC players survive......even today.

You are one dumbass dipshit and I don't like you. Not a fucken clue!

Thanks coach....I was out of line but to believe coaches in the ACC are somehow above those hired
in the SEC is laughable. Compare salaries with the new head coaches hired in the ACC and the bottom
coaches in the SEC.

You can handle that jwhite with a little research.

Coach--every one of your responses to one of my posts includes name calling and dick references. Kind of awkward. Never have you made any kind of point. You might as well just type SEC SEC SEC!

Cloverleaf--good for you. And I don't care if you like me. Best of luck to you. Good job on your hard work but relax a little. No need to get so worked up on some intra-conference banter.

To the other SEC flag wavers, keep waving the flag. I bet Florida is the only team in the East to show improvement because they made a good hire. Actually, I think Tennessee did too. But my point is just that I think USC and UGA dropped the ball and some crappy ACC teams made better hires. We'll see. Time will tell. With the SEC's inherent recruiting advantages, any schmuck could win 8-9 games at most programs but if you have teams making lazy hires, you'll keep falling back to the pack like you have been for years. And yet we'll still see 10 teams in the top 25 in the preseason poll.
