I need music/speakers in living room, one bedroom and my back patio, anymore speakers are great but not necessary. I'd like wireless, maybe be able to hook up to television also but not a deal breaker. I'd like a Bose quality sound without a Bose price tag if possible

Get a bridge, a play 5 for the living room, and 2 play 1s for bedroom and patio.

$800 and you're completely covered. Can play from your music library, any mobile device, or stream Pandora, Spotify, Sirius/XM

All wireless, and the sound is INCREDIBLE.

I have a play 5 that I've had for like 4 years and it has held up really well. Have added some play 1s over the years to cover the house.

The sound that comes out of a single play 5 is absolutely astounding. It packs the sound of an entire system. You'd be surprised.

Thanks for info man. Not gonna lie, $800 is a little more than I'd like to spend. I'd like to spend under $500. Ill check out the options with the Sonos. Can you hook that up to your television? Like I said, ill look it up but does the Sonos allow you to control each speaker individually? In other words, could I have it jamming in the living room and then Either have the volume lower or off altogether in a bedroom? And can you listen to different music at the same time In Different rooms? Thanks man

Yes you can control each room individually, both in terms of the music that is playing and also the volume. The video on this page does a good job explaining the options.

You can't run your TV through the sonos speakers but you can run your sonos system through existing speakers, you need a Connect instead of a Bridge. That's the setup I have now, I have a Sony soundbar + wireless sub and run my sonos through that.

It is well worth the investment man. If money is a crunch I would suggest trying a play3 for the living room and one play1 that you move between the bedroom and outside, considering it's wireless you just have to unplug and carry it out there when you wanna jam on the patio. What's great is it's modular so you can always add another speaker later.

This system is a game-changer man.

Thanks again for taking the time to give me some info. I looked them up and think the Sonos 3 is what I need also. I'm really far from being tech savvy, but I did just buy a new tv and would like to eventually hook the speakers up to the tv, but I can wait on it. I just need my music asap......once I buy the play 3 do I need the bridge? What exactly does that do? Sorry man

No problem man.

I have an extra bridge I can sell you at a discount, still in the box. When I got my last play1 they were running a promo where it came with a free one, and I don't use it because I have a connect that acts as a bridge. PM me if you are interested.

If having good TV sound is high on your list you could look at doing something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HTCT260H-Sound-Wireless-Subwoofer/dp/B00E3AKF1C

I have the larger version of this soundbar and it's very nice.

Get a Sonos connect and hook it through the soundbar, and get a play1 for bedroom/patio. A play1 is MORE than enough for a normal-sized bedroom, I never even turn mine up more than halfway.

That whole setup would cost you about $800.

And yes I can read that is above your budget but that is a whole lotta sound; a soundbar for the TV and now you have two rooms of streaming music.

Just a thought. Either way as you can tell I couldn't possibly give Sonos a higher recommendation. Almost every single one of my friends who has seen mine has started building their own system. The way the app works, it's so simple yet SO powerful. Being able to pull your phone out when you have company and start up the music in the whole house, control playlist and volume...is pretty friggin sweet.

When I have company over I usually put my play1 in the main bathroom with the sirius jazz channel on...hahaha...it's pretty funny.

Agree. I have never heard a Bose product that sounded anything less than great
