Although everyone wants to claim they are here to make money, and this is a "business", etc.....Lets be honest, gambling can be emotional as well....Thats why we see posters get so upset with bad calls, etc....It's a very emotional hobby, with obviously lots of high's and lows.....

That being said, do you ever find yourself holding a "grudge" against a team that beat you when you really needed it? or you felt really just "gave" a game away for you?

I find myself at times refusing to wager on a team cuz i remember what they did to me a couple months ago.....Doesnt mean i go against them every time, just means i wont put my money on them....If i dont like the other side, i just wont play it....Even if i think they can probably do it, i just keep seeing the time they screwed me......

It doesnt happen often, but occasionally....Just wondered if any others experience this....Maryland is the best examply this year....The game at home when they were down 26 at home to NC STate in the first half, just did me in.....I cant play them no matter what this year.....I just am still mad about that piss poor performance that day.....

I also had swore i would never bet against IU, i either like them, or leave the game alone....But i broke that rule this year, when they played North Carolina, cuz i thought they couldnt even stay on the court with them, so not only did IU lose, but i lost the bet as well, as they covered.....That is the last time i do that....

just curious if everyone else is 'totally" able to seperate the emotion from the gambling.....I try hard, and for the most part succeed, but sometimes its easier said than done...:monsters-

I hold a serious grudge against Miles Brand and the Bush Presidents.

Other than, not sure there are any others.

As for emotions, they should remain the same with wins and losses in gambling. Controlling them is very important IMO.

Arsenal (English Premier League soccer). They were averaging well over 3 goals per match early in the season and whenever I would bet the over 2.5 goals, even at home and even against weaker teams, they would go under.

Wil, Same team for the same reason. Also never too fond of the Canadiens. Or Yankees.

The one team I am always on the losing end on whether betting for them or against them the last few years is the Green Bay Packers. They piss me off.

I started a thread on this for college football, referring to the team that doesn't cover when you have them and blows your cover when you bet against them as being "in your a$$."

Notre Dame football is in my arse. Every time I take them, they lay and egg (i.e. at home vs. Purdue this year). Every time I bet against them, they will block a punt or run an int back for a TD or some other huge "lucky" play that turns the game around when their offense has been impotent.

as a DIE-HARD denver broncos' fan there is ONE team i

loathe, hate, despise, can't stand and wish they would simply fall of the face of the earth - and i think we all know which team this is

"Committment to Excrement"!

NOTHING makes me happier than seeing Senile Davis squirm when his team commits stupid penalty after stupid penalty and loses a game

Nice call on Pacific Winky..thanks..what's cooking for Sat's card?

Lem's favorite team Oakland has been a lost cause since the mid-eighties despite rare blip on the big screen, as Locasale and Davis senility and formulas for winning became dated, yet they stubbornly kept with it.

Pat Bowlen is my second favorite NFL owner(to Kraft), and Shanahan is one of my five favorite coaches.

AFC West Football has usually always carried the AFL's torch, yet all need to put some more teeth in those Defenses.
