i am getting ready to sell my house and move and will probably go with a wireless connection for my laptop at the new place.

anybody here have good or bad things to say ?

i have a buddy who loves it and says he never loses his connection.

i would like to be able to take my laptop anywhere in the house and play poker online.

feedback ?

Love it as well. No problems. Even taken the laptop on the back porch and surfed. Get it.

Easy as pie. It's Good stuff, but you need good "up to date" hardware which will supply you with top of the line protection IMO. When wireless, remember many can access your connection if they choose. Your wireless connection will be available to others if they want it and it will be easier for them to access your hard drive. That is only a concern if you have something to hide. Just stay up to date. If there are updates, be on top of them.

techrepublic.com , zdnet.com , tomshardware.com Good places to do reviews.

Wireless routers allow you to assign passwords to prevent just anyone driving by your home from stealing your bandwidth and come with their own firewall. Your laptop should also have it's own firewall/virus protection especially for when it goes travelling.

I love my wireless link but windows doesn't. I lose connectivity after leaving online poker sites and have to reboot my wireless card since windows often can't handle that. I should have got a built-in instead of an add on card.

I almost did but you need wireless protection if you get it for sure.....do not just get the connection without a wireless firewall
