Going to Indianapolis for the NCAA tournament games next thursday and saturday. Never been to the area and looking for a good sportsbar to hang out at on Friday to catch all of the NCAA games. Anybody familiar with the Inidanapolis area have any suggestions. Much appreciated.

Indy Downtown has many choices which are all within walking distance of the dome.
1)Champs-located in the Circle Centre Mall
2)Jillians- a bunch of big screen tv's-multi-level bar/restaurant/dance
3)Champions-located at the New Marriott
4)Trackside-located in Embassy Suites-is an OTB(if you like the horses). Sit downstairs at the bar. They will show all the games and you can see all the tracks. This is my personal favorite.

You will love it here, everything is within walking distance or a short drive. You will never have to leave the downtown area.

I am from Indy and live like 5 minutes or Less from the Rca Dome.. Are you staying downtown ? There some Decent Spots down there...If your looking for Bars theres a good one or too.Nothing compared to Chicago ,if thats where you are from, but they are Ok..I guess it just depends on what your schedule is,

Slippery Noodle Is Pretty Good if you like the Blues ..close to RCA
Champs is a decent SportsBar with some Hotties Pretty Close to RCA
Red Garter is FINE , But only after 8-9 Beers...Within Walking distance.
Trackside Bar is also there for some good ol pony wagering
Ike&Jonesy's is Ok if you like Easy Trashy women
Ugly Monkey is Better if you like younger drunk women

So....Again not sure what side of the city you'll be on ...but those are All in short walking distance from Rca,with others Along the way...Of course if this is a family trip then there is always the NCAA something or an other down there that they just built...Let me know if I can be of any help...

Staw away from the dark alleys Cubs, but you should be able to have a good time in the general area.
