vic, I know you are probably not too keen on this theory after the last time you tried it but i am seriously thinking of going with the "Its their Stanley Cup" Theory & playing on CBUS & ATLANTA tonite, Probably taking the .5 goal with the extra vig...despite the fact that they have won their last two games detroit has not been their usual self...also I doubt the regulars will play much...CBUS (despite two losses) looked good against Colorado & Detroit & now they get another crack at detroit...

I’m watching the Preds/Blues game so I’ll keep this short but I too was leaning to theLeafs but Ottawa is starting to go on one of their runs and that fact scares me off. Then I thought about the over and I think that this game will have some fire works of all kinds. No matter what it should be a great game to watch.
My theory is that Burke will step up in the post season for the Flyers. Esche has looked sloppy for the last few games and I’m hoping that they give Burke the opening game, they play on the road, and he plays well. Stick with him for the second and if he plays well ride his back throughout. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play well despite his year long struggles. In fact I think that might be just the motivation for him. The guy’s a proven winner.
But regardless of my very bold prediction of a San Jose/ Philly final I’m not naïve enough to think that more than half of the teams in the playoffs can’t end up in the same position. I just didn’t want to be boring and say Detroit/Ottawa or Toronto.
Savant in regard to playing the heavy dogs tonight in Cbus and the Thrashers….someone else already stole your thunder with the Atlanta side on another post and I agree that they are worth a small play. I would take them on the ML at +250. The logic works equally well with the Jackets. However I doubt I will.
All you need is one to make a night!

If the Blues game stayes Under I will likely play both on the Puck Line with the Plus VIG...

yeah Savant, on another forum. The poster is from the TB area and has a pretty good grasp on the mood of the team. He just felt that they would rest everyone and go through the motions. I can't argue with that I'm just not so sure that Atlanta won't be doing the same. Just because they might not play hockey for a while doesn't mean they want to bust ass and take the chance of hurting themselves either. Put yourself in their shoes. Your golf clubs are packed and you're heading to Vegas or Hawaii for a month. Do you want to risk spending your off season in rehab??
