Earlier this week I was really liking the Giants but on further digging I believe Green Bay will romp here similar to what Philly did to Giants in Week 1. Giants have been doing it against two teams struggling in Washington(no offense continuity and turnover problems) and Cleveland (banged up). Both of these games were at home. Favre a little banged up but I feel after 2 straight losses it doesn't get any more urgent than here as 1-3 could be disasterous with Vikings playing well and getting behind for wildcard. This game will have lots of points and see Green Bay getting ahead big early and then coasting in 2nd half. Any thoughts?

KOJAK..my thnking was the same as yours initially, and now I am seeing GB blitzing Warner hard, and we will again see the warner that is not mobile, and will make some mistakes. Also Greenbay needs some payback

GB is a great KEY in any teaser combo--they can be teased down to pick 'em.

here's my take:

i am in three suicide/elimination pools

in ALL THREE i have GB (including 1 for a payoff of about $4k)

as long as GB wins by 1 - i don't care about ATS!

Guys: Think back 3 or 4 years ago when Warner was in his prime. I remember him burning the blitz over and over again. He is too shrewd a veteran to let the blitz affect him. He also showed me something last week I never saw from him before. He was accurate passing on the run which will burn the blitz every time. I think Warner is back and improving every game. He also has pretty good receivers. The key to the game is "will his OL give him a second or two to throw his pass". They did it last week against a weak team.

Today is the key game in the Giants season. If they can beat GB or keep it close, then the Giants are for real and I could see them winning 9 or 10 games this year.

I bet every Giant game because they are on TV. Sometimes I bet against them even though I am a Giant fan. Today I will bet a 7 point teaser on the Giants and Over. I am not confident enough in them to take them straight up.

I didn't read every response, but here is how I see it.

The reports of a Favre demise are greatly exagerated. Expect Ahman Green to have a huge day today. Favre will also exploit a terrible Giant secondary at home today.
The G men have shown a little fight the last couple weeks, but Warner will be under constant blitz today. I don't expect the patchwork line to give him enough time to find the open man. Tiki could be a bright spot as the Pack D' line has shown an inability to tackle/cover at times as well.

This is a classic bounce back game for the pack after the track meet in Indy. Expect more of the same on offense from GB, but I don't see the Giants doing as much scoring as Indy did last week. I'm taking the Pack minus the points.

G/L to ya.

Speaking of terrible secondaries lets not forget how bad the Packers are.... 7.5 is a lot to cover for any team... Anyone remember a shitty Bears team coming into Lambeau a few weeks back?

Any thoughts on the Over 44 in this game then ?

Looks to me like both teams will be able to put up some points on the board.

Chad,

I have not forgotten. But the difference here is the Pack can't afford to be complacent. Warner chokes in these type of games believe me when I say that as I am a Big Rams fan from St. Louis. Giants may score 17-20 but unless Giants get to 28, I do not think they will cover here. Best of luck.

I think Mike Martz is the one who choked. What I am looking for is both teams to run a lot and a low scoring tight game and Favre wins it in the end. I will take 7.5 with any team in the NFL against GB. The Packers huge fan base is what makes these lines so high. Nobody can honestly say that GB is 7.5 points better than the NYG..... GB may cover, but I will take the points. Good luck though...

chad,

Line is down to 6.5 in several places so I would tell you to get 7.5 while you can. Best of luck.

ct giant,

Don Best reports Favre is fine in fact usually when he is beat up Sherman gives him off of practice but Favre refused and did practice all week. IMO Favre health is a non factor.

The Packers rammed my ass the first week with that loss to the Bears. Now they are doing again with being shutout going into the second quarter agains a weak Giants D. I have the over in a tease.
